Making plastic scooby doos into key rings etc. They made a come back a couple of years ago in much brighter colours!

Yes there was so much fun in those days

all those games we played with home made tools

I would dearly love to see those days again - I don't remember any stress at school we seemed natural lively kids

out at 8am in by 8pm
and bed at 9 no arguments

We used to make a tent out of a clothes horse and blankets.
Mum made a sledge as we lived at the top of a big hill.
Rope swing on gas lamps.

Hot rice(ball game)
cricket
2 Balls
Whip/top
Conkers
Marbles
French Skipping
Elastics
And does anyone remember chumping for bonfire night.

Well I had a tommy gun lol! My uncle Fred made it, it was like a football rattle, so I could 'kill' loads of baddies! I was the only girl in our Close and all the boys used to gang up on me - so I had to have a really serious attack weapon in order to win!

Also had a bow and arrow - I'd have liked to have a serious go at that later - but shoulders weren't strong enough.

Couldn't stand dolls and things - never saw the point of them - there were enough wains crying in the Close to put me off I think!

Hopscotch, two ball, skipping, French skipping, marbles, hide-and-seek, exploring, going out on bikes, picking berries, making 'dens', going out with Dad on his 'football pools' round, reading anything I could get my hands on, the 'Bunty' comic, Fuzzy Felt, French knitting (how bizarre was that!), jigsaw puzzles (still love them), Sindy doll....the list is endless, lol!

Hi girls back from Mums shopping.....she did make me laugh on my shopping list she puts satumas but only if they are sweet.... can you image me stood in tesco's opening every bag taking a bite and saying ...no not sweet they are coming to take me away ha ha



Oh remembered we also used to play bools (marbels)

In the good old days when we used to get snowed in cos there was about 6 foot of snow!
