Dee

You've done it - WELL DONE you!

The best way to cope with the long haul of treatment I found was to compartmentalise it, first lot of chemo, for me a second lot of chemo and then finally my weeks of radio and that appears to be what you have done too. You're almost there Dee and before you know it, the whole saga will be over. And it'll be well worth it I can promise you.

I look back five and a half years ago now at the start of my journey and cannot believe the years that have gone by. I keep wondering if I have miscalculated the years and before you know it you will be doing the same.

Take care Dee, the hair will soon grow back and if you're anything like me, I kept it short for more than four and a half years and only grew it because I wanted a change and I suppose BECAUSE I COULD!

Sending hugs to you,
Lyn x x x x

Well done Dee, you are a fighter and will soon be seeing a big ray of light not a pinprick.
Take care of yourself and keep watching those eyebrows etc only hope they don't grow back curly as some people's hair does, you will look like Dennis Healey lol

Dee... you are beautiful with or without a boob, hair, eyebrows or eyelashes.

At last, surely the worst is now over.

As you said to me on Saturday this is one year out of your life to live another twenty.

You have been so brave and faced everything with your usual humour and even though you were feeling so ill took time to support me in more ways than you will ever know.

I am privileged to have you as a friend.

Well done you!!

Hi Dee ,Glad its reached one milestone and the only way now is forward & UP !!

Daughters hair grew back quite quickly and was Curly!! she has to get it straightened now altho i liked the curly look .She has started to get it dyed again cos unfortunately she still came through with loads of grey .she was hoping she might be a blonde ,lol.
She uses vegetable dye now cos they advised it was kinder than using chemical dyes after chemo.

Cant believe she now reached 12 months from the end of her chemo and all still well, shes now on 6 monthly checks for the next two years then annually for the last two .after five years they pronounce cured !!

Sorry i missed you at the London meet was looking forward to the chin wag but couldn't make it at the last minute.

Take care

Shirley

Dee,

Good news that the chemo is at an end.

Even though you are still going through a difficult time you have always posted support to others which is so much appreciated.

Love

Sue xx
