Some people (a very, very small minority) have a limited and stunted vocabulary, and little if any intelligence. I am surprised they manage to boot up a pc. But I do laugh myself silly when you see them try to ruin threads and are abusive and can’t spell the abuse.

I was always taught not to use words I could not spell or understand.

I could not agree more - there is absolutely no excuse for the sort of language that was used but some people have to use it because they know no better I guess

people who send fould mouthed messages are only showing themselves up - it's quite possible to relay feelings without resorting to gutter language

Personaly I have never found it necessary to use bad language but I supose we're not all the same.

I know I am in the minority but I regard PM's as quite personal. I dont often use them and dont expect people to send them to me unless they are looking for a hot match. I do get the odd one or two in response to something I may have said on a post and reply if it warrents it.

But I wouldnt dream of sending an abusive one - or one for any reason other than to support someone or try and find a hot match.

Added Oh I did have one of the looneys as I like to think of them PM me a few times a month or so ago but I threatened to send the PMs to GR and suggested they went and got a life. But to be honest I had forgotten about it until just now as it meant so little to me.

I wouldn't even consider having them reported etc. They obviously have a very low intelligence and very low self esteem and need to be helped in society rather than chastise them.
It is sad that they have neither the wit nor the intelligence in some respects but it is wrong to criticise someone purely because that is the only way they can react/interact.

I was on the receiving end along with others last week but chose to ignore it as it was very short and I knew that the person who sent it had been reported already!

i personally think if someone is abusive to you via pm,they should be treated as if it were on the boards.but i bet they dont.they,ll just say block um.xx
