We can buy Winberries here in Bolton, but only for about 2/3 weeks of the year.....so my neighbour buys and freezes them. |

used to go on to the brecon beacons with mum and dad to go wimberry picking and was told to watch out for sheep poo as it looked similar...........well I was only little !!! lol |

They grow in Staffordshire as well. I used to pick them as a young girl for mum to make lovely pies! |

It is a blast from the past use to make Wimberry pies when I first started work in a bakery ..they were lovely ,I buy blueberry`s at local supermarket .but prices vary a lot .Aldi 89 p .Sainsburys` £1.99 same pkt |

I used to love Bilberries - wimberries. Had bilberry pies lots of time when I lived in Lancashire but I can not find them in Yorkshire. Years ago I used to buy them in jars but not seen them for a long time. |
