Im hoping she'll be sign off and just left with our local Hospital...She has 1 year left to know if it will affect her eyesight, touch wood that is looking good too

My friend's youngest girl on ITU at GOSH at the moment with JIA.

She has had complications which led to her having brain bleeds. It took four days to stabilise her enough for it to be safe to take her to theatre to remove them.

They hope that when they take her off the sedation she won't be too damaged and will not fight the ventilator.

I hope that your daughter's condition continues to be treatable at your local hospital, I know what Penny means about getting to GOSH!

Vicious conditions but the children that suffer seem so brave - it's the adults that fall apart! It is so hard to watch them bear it, the needles especially.

It is heartening to hear that your daughter has got better to an extent - a little ray of hope to look forward to.

My Daughter has been going there for nearly 4 years, but like i say she was only referred to them to have Steroid Injections, which she has now had 2 lots in the same Ankle..there is nothing wrong with my local hospital who she has been under since she were 2½..if she needs no more injections being you can only have 2 in 1 joint and she has JCA in 3 then there is no reason for her to go there

I'm up GOSH on Friday with my daughter Aimee who had surgery on her knees/legs recently. She has a chromosome abnormality. It is a bind to get there with wheelchairs/buggys but once you get there I think you'll agree they do know what they are doing and it is such a happy environment.

UPDATE

Once again thank you for your messages

Just got back and it seems thou she hasn't said anything about any pain it seems her Ankle has Swelling and Fluid again, so she will need 2 more injections 1 either side of her ankle
