Hi Mary, thinking of you xx

My Dad is only allowed water. He has been getting some pain in his abdomin. He can't talk so can't tell us whats going on. No Dr's about to tell us either. He has a good colour and is trying to talk.

My sister and I spent an hour and a half with Dad yesterday afternoon. He had his cross between a smile and going to break into tears look, on his face when he saw us. He had had a good nights sleep. He was in a brand new electric bed, bit like a cot. Tried to say he hurt not sure if he was telling us his arm ( which got the skin scrapped off as we dropped him onto his commode) or his tummy was hurting. It's so hard with him having no speech. The tea lady came round asked us did he want tea or coffee? Sugar? Dad nodded yes, but he hasn't had sugar for years. . I made a note for him to show 'Tea no sugar thanks'. We spent about an hour trying to work out what he was saying on the topic of he had seen someone. We went through family, friends and guessed at a friend who is a nurse on ICU. But we know he was at my nephews the night Dad said the visit
took place. Then in came a nurse starting her duty, who is a friend of my neice. She was training on the same ward six years ago when Dad was on it.He remembered her! Most of the time Dad was in and out of pain, closing his eyes and trying to talk. Dr's keep doing heart tracking test's. Oh, and the Dr's look so young!! I'm taking Mum visiting today.

My utility room has been empty three days now. Contents in kitchen include washing machine, tumble dryer, floor cabinet, work top on kitchen table, ironing board in dining room. Dogd bed is portable! Large bin of shoes in kitchen laundry bin and rubbish bin all in kitchen. Clothes airer in diningroom. As if I need more stress. Steve is also stress with the mess. BIL coming this morning to lay new floor covering in utility room so hope Ican move stuff back soon.

Thinking of you all with your own problems hope we can all find some peace this week end xxx Love you all thanks for pm's it's good to have you all there xx

Oh Carole I have only just seen this, I'm so sorry about your dad, sending positive thoughts that he will be ok, hospitals are scary places at the best of times.
I only came on to say I haven't been on computer much lately but have been thinking of you all. I don't know if it's the cancer in the bone or the fm both in top of right arm but it makes life very difficult when I can't move it without bad pain. I have to keep stopping for a break while typing anything.
Joyce has a thread Liz put up, called 'Dutch and Caz', Joyce is in England now and I am trying to keep all her friends informed. It started off by us all telling her she had to stay off computer for a while and rest, which she did surprisingly, then she got in a tizzy over her granddaughter who is pregnant and due in August but had been having a lot of tummy pain. Joyce decided to come over here and see for herself how Rachel was, she goes back next Wednesday.
She has pm'd me this morning to say she has seen a doctor and he has given her some cream for her arm (she has a lot of pain in it for a few weeks now). Thing is she never said anything about her legs, I'm only hoping she told him.

I have been suffering a lot with my back last few days and can neither sit, stand, walk or lay down, so I try not to post too much keeping Joyces friends updated. news of her is on that thread.

Love and hugs to all.

Caz xx

Dad was asleep when my sister phoned the hospital this morning, to find out what ward he had been moved to. I have to go to Mums to get his warfrin book a Dr phoned me for it last night. Mum isn't going to see him today as the Dr in A&E told her to use this oppertunity to rest. Poor Dad looks so little and thin. His skin all droping in places I haven't seen before!!

Haven't heard from Dutch.

Thanks to you all for your kind messages xx

Deanna, I don't think your jokes are bad. So there.
Carole Tinkerbelle, sorry to hear about your dad and hope he is on the mend by now. Kind regards, Colin.

Afternoon folks, been busy and very sore, so not sitting much at the pc for a few days. It's very warm here and so humid and that's my trigger at present.
Dear Carole, so sorry about your Dad, I hope he'll improve quickly with appropriate meds, please look after yourself so you don't get too worn down.
Deanna your jokes aren'[t always bad, just most of the time. And Liz yes, PLEASE empty your mailbox. (that's why I stick with Yahoo, never have to worry about the box filling up).
Where's Dutch and how is she? And YCaz too, hope you are both comfortable - pain not taking over, hugs on their way.
My miniMary is sewing up a storm, she's already made a dozen fabric carry bags to sell to help with the dog fund. Quite a bit of initiative for a fairly shy 12 year old.
My house is coming back into shape, the big store cupboard has been repaired and painted and tonight I can re-fill it.
sending hugs to those who need them, Gail I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday, we are heading south to the States next week Wednesday to meet the dogs, a week away will be wonderful.

Hugs

Just to let you all know my Dad has been admitted into hospital today. He has a water infection and is very weak. At 80 and paralised down his left, and with no speech hospital for him is a huge trauma. I might not get on here much.

Love to all xx

Allison, I tend to take things out on my OH as well, I know I do it and shouldn't, he is such a gentle giant of a man it then makes me feel bad, then I do it again. So guess I know how your OH feels. I also encourage my OH to play snooker most Saturdays, It is his ME time. Glad you are feeling better.

Deanna, I was running out of undies so dare not laugh.

The cold is really getting to me this year and I am getting my electrical zapping going in my nerves and it is just horrid. So trying to stay out of the cold wind and keep warm. Heavy duty pain pills tonight and also back to anti inflammatorys again. YUCK. Cannot wait for spring.

Love and hugs

Hi Lily, nice to meet you. Thanks to you and Gail for the kind words.

Hi Colin, I think you may have misunderstood my last post. It's not that B isn't supportive or helping. He has been ill too and in fact still is. The main problem for him is his mental illness which he just hates (doesn't everyone) and at the best of times feels like he's dragging me down. He really likes nothing more than me getting out and doing stuff that I like to do. The very rare times that he's phsyically ill though he gets very frustrated with not being able to get outside. He doesn't often take his frustrations out on me but now and then it happens. He has no-one else but me to talk to though so that makes it hard too. He does see a psychiatrist every few months but really doesn't think she helps much and finds it so hard to get the words out when he talks to her. We just battle on together.

Yes I did go to the Dr's and did get antibiotics and am almost better now. I actually went twice, the first young bloke was useless but the next one, a young woman was brilliant.

Hope all is well with everyone.

NO...........Ann.... I will have to get the *big boys* after her. That'll scare her into emptying her box..

See you tomorrow.

Gail.... laugh away, why should you be any different.
I'm suffering..... everybody suffers! ;-0)

Carole (tinkerbell)... message from my son Tony.... quote;
"how can you say my mothers jokes are 'getting' bad?... My mothers jokes have ALWAYS been bad!"

I did stay off my computer for a while, although I cannot stay away ALL THE TIME.... I'm too nosey and have to come and see what is going on.
I don't think I have been very well , as I have been sitting reading and hardly able to keep my eyes open at times.
Still. I am feeling a little better now and hopefully will be back to my..... barely alive mode tomorrow.
I need to wash, and I by tomorrow I will be fit for a few good jobs.
It is so awful when we get to the stage where are 'pushing' ourselves about isn't it?

As far as my depression goes, I have started taking my FLUOXATINE again and it seems to be working.
I certainly could not carry on as I was.
I'm sure you all notice how we bring our loved ones down with us when we are depressed.

Talking of depression.... Tony and Karen are off to Egypt on Sunday for a month, our Christmas present to Karen.
My Christmas pressie to me is the worry while they are away!! ;-0(

Well I think I need to see if I have some mail to answer.... and if you are about LIZ.......
please empty your box, so that I can speak to you when I need to.

Love to all Deanna XXXXX
