I dont find the son of Anninas' comments very helpful at all. In fact I dont appreciate being told that the anti depressants that have quite literally saved my life are not necessary.
This thread supports all kinds of people from all walks of life and one of the things we do for each other is repect people individually, some take anti d's others dont. Some people are well at the moment others not so.
This post upset me earlier on in the day ,speaking as someone who takes a very high dose of anti d's, you do not know me or my circumstances so please do not judge me or anyone else on here.

Caz, lovely to see you posting I hope the pain from your fall will ease soon xxx
Colin, Shelly Beach sounds lovely. Thank goodness for wireless internet.

We have just ordered a replacement screen for the laptop as little boy has managed to break it so at the moment hubby and I are sharing the pc (well I say sharing but really mean I ask him can I have a little look on comp for a minute.)
Hi Gail , good on you!!
Speak soon all
Love

Son of annina, I don't suffer from depression but if I did and was on medication to help me I don't think i would find your comments very helpful. You can be assured that the people on here who suffer with depression and who are sensible adults have tried all venues to conquer their problems before resorting to medication.

Dutch beat me to it didn't she. I haven't been on for ages, as Dutch says my hands have been terribly painful with the arthritis. Not even had computer on so forgive me if I don't mention anyone in particular, apart from Treehunter, hope you have settled in now, I still have boxes to unpack but they can wait. I am going to bed now as doctor isn't coming today, she is coming Friday instead.
I ache and am so stiff after my fall, all my muscles are protesting when moved so it is easier to lie down and go to sleep.
Can't type anymore so love and hugs to all.

Caz xx

Gee Annina, thank you for imparting your wisdom.

Do you also have a book to fix my broken neck and take away my chronic pain.

Perhaps you have a book that can also make me walk properly again. Give me back the use of my right arm.

Glad it works for you, but not everybody.

pills are not the answer, depression/ anxiety are just a state of your own thoughts and memorys,, as i'm sure you already no. i've found an author that has helped me so much,,, (john selby) books such as (ouiet your mind) )and seven masters one path) will teach you the way to manage your mind without the need for chemicals!

Colin, you might be lucky enough to see the whales passing by (if you are near the coast), that would be lovely. We are off down the coast in a few weeks and hoping to see the whales. I have heard of Shelly Beach, but not sure where.

I deleted above, sorry, had a major winge and was not really very good. I realised after posting.

I haven't been on for a few days, so just catching up with happenings in divers(e) places. Some trauma, great fun. Nice to see a couple of new names on the board, also a couple I haven't seen for a while. Hello Joyce.
For all those who have suffered depression, you might like this:
On Monday (a holiday here) my GF and I went on a walk to a little spot called Shelly beach. The pathway has become something of a sculture walk, and there are small bronzes of local wildlife. Including scuba divers. But the one that took my fancy was the gloomy octopus. I ask you- what does an octopus really have to be gloomy about?
After the walk (a couple of miles, but almost flat) my legs were feeling it, as I still have some tendonitis but it is getting better.
As I write this, I am sitting in a cabin about 400 miles from home. I am helping with a job in a small town in southern NSW for a few days, as part of my job. I drove down today, three days work, and drive back Saturday. The miracles of modern telecommunications. I can't get a signal on my dinosaur of a mobile phone, but this laptop is connected to a wireless modem and I have internet access. I am amazed. And my employer doesn't mind me accessing the net. Just as well, since there is nothing on TV tonight that I want to watch except the news.

Oh ClaireJo - I know you know what we were all going through, how I wish all these kids could have the extra protection of a service dog.
give your son a hug for me. - he sounds like Gareth, a secone of distraction as he's gone like a bullet.

Only just seen about Liam going missing. That would have been his parents worst nightmare! And very upsetting for everyone at the day out. Pleased he turned up safe and sound.

Went to see my friends baby yesterday in hospital, and today she was home, so they asked us round again. I got to change her wet nappy, then she did a pooh and so I changed her twice! I was so excited she is a lovely baby. H and I got to cuddle her.

Just seen the time, so have to get some washing in the dryer and go to bed. Work tomorrow. xx

So glad all turned out well for young Liam Mary.
That would be my worst nightmare if P ever got out of the house or ran away from me. I insist always when he is walking that he holds my hand always, he is like a rocket and would just run into the path of a car if something attracted his attention. So scary and because he cant talk, it just makes me feel sick what someone could do to him.
So you know how relieved I am that Liam turned up safely.

LIAM IS SAFE!!
Thank God, he was found happily wandering, off the trails, by the water, not a scratch on him, completely unconcerned. Three hours after we left they found him, but Colleen didn't hear till 1am by email..
Thank you all for your concern, I had a very unfocused evening worrying, it could so easily have been Gareth . . .
Thank you so much, the media and police and fire and ambulance were swarming the place when we left, I am so relieved it all turned out OK. Liam needs an autism service dog !!
Hugs
Mary

Hopefully Liam has now been found safe and well. Thank you Janey for letting us know there is no news. No news is good news as my dad used to say.

Mary what a lovely thought selling the bottled water to the neighbours. Little treasures you family.

I am finally getting to see the doctor again on Tuesday, twice in just a few weeks, poor doc wont know what is going on. So hard to get to see him as well.

I am picking up a little bit so hopefully I am now at the end of this horrid flu. It has been a real shocker and 10 weeks is a bit much.

Ben, I am waiting on a batch of certs or transcriptions of certs at the moment, keep checking to see if the bank account has been hit as know it will not be long till they are in the post. I have been trying to get my grandfathers birth certificate, we can only access easily up to 1908 in New South Wales, as he was born in 1911 (died in the 1960's) you have to go through loads more and wait for 9 weeks to process, then hope they will release it. Well they took my money on Friday, so hopefully will get the certificate next week.

Thinking of Y/Caz and hope she is back with us again very soon.

Love and Hugs

Gail
