Caz, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly and that everything is an effort including typing. Please try a few lines occasionally to let us know you are OK and to stop us worrying about you. Hope the scan can offer a solution to the pains in your legs.

Eileen, I was pleased to hear that Gill will still be reading with the Greaders group, even if she is not still on the boards.

Liz, how is the DIY going, any sign of nearing an end yet?

Gail, hope you have plenty of spare beds for when we all arrive for a dose of sunshine!

Carole exciting that 'we' are having a baby, yes. Claire please keep us posted.

I hope Joyce doesn't stay away for too long and that her holiday in UK does her good.

I am off to the hairdressers in a moment to get rid of the grey hairs!!!

Hello everyone, I won't say I am ok because I am not yet but enough to be up for a while. Carole, Tinkerbelle arrived, she is so sweet, thank you, don't know what the postman thought because it arrived with a couple from Joyce which dwarfed it. My first Christmas card and a get well card from Joyce, I hadn't realised Christmas was so near, never gave it a thought.
I haven't had computer on so I don't know what you have all been up to, will have to read all your posts later.
I got a letter yesterday asking me to go for a MRI scan on Thursday morning 8-15, blimey they must have shoved me in. In fact my doctor came to see me this afternoon, got me out of bed, and said she thinks it is the oncologist who ordered it. She had a letter with her from oncologist saying the nerves to my legs are being compressed by the cancer in spine. I don't understand it as they have been trying since 2001 to find out why my legs don't work, including MRI scans, and I was told only last year or the back end of year before about having cancer in spine.

Carole I did think of letting my subscription lapse as even typing is such a big effort just now, then I thought of all my friends who I would lose contact with. I won't be posting as much but I will be reading, even just typing this my fingers are full of pins and needles, holding a knife and fork or the phone is so hard and I don't know why. I am rambling so I will shut up.

Love and hugs to all.
Caz xx

Thanks Carole, you are kindness itself.

A very good friend of Gill's mails me often. Have to admit I find it very upsetting and saddening how she has been hounded off the boards. To be honest, it is more difficult to deal with nowadays, now that I am in not in a too good shape to help, the poor love, wish I could do more.

Hope Caz is o.k? Joyce (Dutch) is not too happy about her.
So, caz. If you are reading this, I hope you are alright, not in pain.We are all thinking of you and wishing you well.

When is the first scan? I noticed you had not posted for a while but didn't want to pester you if you didn't want to post! It is difficult when to know not to bother people and when they may need a nudge. Welcome back with us xx

Nudges for Jules, Kathy, Carolina, Caz C, Elaine, Claire ( the other one), Joyce, Ann GG,
Dawn, Angela, Dave, Ben, Malc, Fran, Forgetmenot, Paula, scratches head....who have I missed out?

Sending a ~~~~~ to Gill xx

Also got a message Deanna is going home. I'm so pleased for her. Would anyone have time to do a collection for us, to send her some flowers? x

Eileen here you are, I come to put a wanted post on here for you and you're chatting away.
Pleased you felt the need to post. That was more scary for you to do earlier on in the year. So what a great improvement in your confidence that is. xxx

Ann, no, I don't wear an alert braclet.Have always thought it wouldn't happen again, until the next time. The little ones are only two and a half, the baby was born on Easter sunday.Their house is anything but 'child friendly', so this worries me more. For instance, there is no handrail on the stairs..just imagine! That is why I will talk this over with my other who lives near to her youngest sibling. Don't want to alarm anyone, more than they are already, they have had enough worries over the years with my bad health, ie. lung op, due to cancer, open heart op. etc. and also know my days are counted, so to speak, but don't want to put an added burden on them. This does not depress me, there are so many other things far harder to take. My eldest is my worst worry.

Will p.m you soon Ann.

Eileen, will you stop apologising. You ramble away as I am sure it helps you. Do you think worrying about passing out makes it happen? Do you wear an alert bracelet to inform people of your condition? How old are the children? is it possible you could warn them so they are prepared and not frightened. children are very good at coping even at a young age.

Hello again,

Grey miserable weather, but, there is one ray of sunshine, Deanna coming home at last.

Joyce rang me when I saw just about to go out, thinking it was my daughter trying to hurry me up, I said "yes El." Whoops! She told me about Deanna, great news.My p.c is playing up a lot more today, so had it switched off and didn't see the mail from Tony. This has cheered me up a lot, as it must have done for others.

Ann, once again, thank you for your kind words, it does help. This friend, Yvonne, knows most of what has happened since we met at a third world project we set up, with 3 other people, back in the early '70's, I know all her problems, unhappy times, so we can talk freely, without having to be afraid the other will be put off.She and another lovely friend Jeanne, who died in oct. 2006, were the ones that stuck by me the most when I had the first nervous breakdown. These are the real friends, not 'fair weather' ones that fall by the wayside when things are not fun & laughter.
I am dreading thursday, but, in a way, it may allow me to see what the furture holds for me, the devil you know etc.
My daugther Fiona is coming down from Amsterdam tomorrow. This is the one who drove her car into a ditch.Am in two minds about her driving down...let alone going back in the rush hour.
Have to go to Amsterdam to look after my youngest daughter's two little ones on friday. My greatest fear is that I could have another 'attack' (passing out) whilst being alone with them. This has happend quite a few times, a couple of times in the street.Soooo embarrassing, but dangerous whilst caring for little ones. Will tell Fiona tomorrow, knowing her, she will offer to come along too.

Sorry for rambling on and on, when most of you have such terrible things going on in your lives.Makes me feel even more guilty for posting/not posting......

Will mail Deanna in a few days, will just let her settle down with her loved ones first.

Love to all. Eileen xx

Morning all, dear Claire, so glad you were able to post. And congrats on your new little blessing, it will be special because it's yours, regardless of any potential diagnosis. You know I'm familiar with autism in the family, it's a tough one, but I've learned so much about patience and unconditional love through these children.
Sending hugs to your family, and especially for yourself. Bless you for sharing.

Hello all,

Not posting regularly makes me feel guilty, so after mailing Carole earlier, I decided to scrape courage to post.

Am having trouble with the internet this morning, it has taken me over 20 minutes to get this far.

Claire, I have deleted in the past, in case anything happened to me, was rather scared that my loved ones would know how I feel inside, because I always try to put on a 'what, me care'? face.Have not deleted anything since. Hope your pregnacy goes smoothly.Congratulations.

Even reading about tooth problems (the pain must be terrible) gives me the willies.

Carole's photos of the Amish country/people were lovely, couldn't get to see the ones of the Niagara Falls though. She told me to copy & paste (?), but do you think I know how to do this????

My lovely friend Yvonne was here yesterday morning, we talked about everything and anything.Cried too, something I very rarely do when anyone else is present. When she heard I have a new appointment with the cardiologist 11 dec. she insisted on going with me, even thought it's her birthday on that day.

Please think of me on thursday at 14.00, have to go to an extremely unpleasant 'intervieuw'.

Have not mentioned all of you,but keep you in my thoughts,

Love to all, Eileen xx
