I am so sad today, one of us has deleted a mass of posts. I know I have been guilty of this in the past and am sorry I did it now. I know I have come a long way and it is good to be able to go back and see the place I was in.

Okay we now have to build up the 5000 again.

Just a quick message, got thrown off aol Sat night, and tried for an hour and a half to get back on, no luck so all behind with mails etc..
The prodigal son has returned and of course is flavour of the month till his mother gets tired of him scrounging and lying again, already affected things here with o.h. having a go at me, I have to be up early to go out Monday to an appointment so won't be here long, just wanted you all to know I was thinking about you all especially Betty, with your daughter's birthday, and Eileen, with your daughter's too, and Carole coming back here to sort us all out.
Welcome back Carole. O.h. off work for three days and so I won't get on here much till things settle down again, so don't think I am ignoring you, just take care,

Just off to bed but have to check you are all
in too! Back to work in the morning. Going to Chapel St Leonards near Skeg. Too cold to go in for a paddle. Getting over the jet lag. Never been this bad before.

Mary you look just fine. Everyone has seen you and will agree! (sorry)..

Trinity hope you will find it helps to have friends to listen and really understand xx

Thank you for your good wishes Betty. Have been at her place. It is so strange to see her at 40, but to think back to when she was a 'wild' toddler, the only 'wild' one of my five children, and now a mother of two teenagers...

Happy birthday to your daughter Betty! Did you go there to celebrate it with her?

Hope too that Deanna is looking in, miss her sooo much.

Love to all from Eileen x

Mornin', it was snowing when I came home from work last evening, I drove VERY carefully as I haven't changed to winter tires yet (more procrastination). Carole thanks for the photo, you have inspired me to go on a diet, side-view indeed . . . .
The handyman built me a "lean-to shed" last week to cover the bikes for the winter, just a frame with heavy plastic attached. Well this morning, it's snowing gently and the plastic is vertical from the wind, no longer attached to the frame.
miniMary apparently cleared her room last evening while I was at work, now there is laundry and stuffed animals overflowing down the hall to the kitchen and my little washer can't cope with it all.
Had a difficult evening at work, one death and 2 others on the edge, ready to leave but fighting it every step of the way. When one wants one's physical body to be donated to science, a complexity of procedure is created which is most difficult on a weekend, as none of the contact offices are open. I continue to learn things I hadn't planned on.LOL

Today is Nov 16th - my dear Uncle Bill has reached another milestone, 106, of course it's tomorrow in NZ, while we are still in today (if that makes sense). A warm and kind man, a big teddy bear really, when we travelled to NZ for his hundredth b'day, I was amazed he was still walking without benefit of cane, except on long walks outside. He was my mother's older brother, always asked if there was anything she needed, so kind and generous. She adored him and when she died almost 8 years ago, he admitted he was "very fond of her". Some Victorian emotional restraint still apparent.
I'm manging on the 40 mg of Citalopram now, quite a struggle to get sorted after messing it up, down again after seeing myself sideview in Carole's photo!!! It was a bulky pullover . . . .
have a good day all, and welcome Trinity, we are a good bunch, there's a lot of caring here.
Mary

Ooh sorry missed the 5000 posting although I was aware it was looming! well done Gail, congratulations. what a thread, 5000 messages, phew!

YCaz, i hope you are taking things easy as ordered. Carole have PMd you my e mail address for photo, hope you are over the jet lag now.

Joyce, how lovely to see you, what news of Toby? Do tell us.

For those interested Gill is fine and reads the boards.

Hello Trinity, anybody an join this thread is they are suffering themselves or wish to be supportive to those who are suffering in anyway. it is a long thread to read through but if you skim a few pages you will see what i mean. sometimes you may just need to talk to somebody, well someone is usually about on this thread, if not immediately then not before too long.

Morning all.

Gail congratulations on being the 5000 poster.
Joyce good job you noticed. :o)

Thinking of all who are feeling poorly. Not myself as I have got into a right mess with my tablets, missing days, taking double and time difference truly confused me.

Anyone interseted (edit! interested) in seeing my holiday photos who I have not sent a link to, let me have your address to send it to. Have a lovely new photo which my cousin took of Mary and me.

Gail how are you? x

Christine nice to see you here.x

A very good morning to all my old fiends and new one's alike.
It's been a long time since I have posted but I do keep up to date and read of the going's on.

I can recall when Deanne, Carole, Anne, Caz and others used to banter for weeks ahead prior to reaching a deadline of 3000 then 4000 postings.. who would post dead on time and receive cheers!. sadly the 5000 posting has passed by without the presence of some of you lovely people!
If you are reading Deanne, kick your butt and return to us pronto lass, we all miss you so much, I especially miss our battles of 'words' typed, I usually beat you with my talks of' 'walkies' and Toby's antics xxxx
And Caz xxx I still have not given up on you being my star turn, okay so you are falling about plenty at the moment but I have a lovely sledge which Toby will ride you around in, jingle bells and flashing lights too xx

I just could not let this day go by without celebrating our 5000 postings on this our thread, a thread which has been a saviour to so many and for many more to come, if needed.
Bless you all and take care

Well had a massive storm here on Friday night all lightening and thunder but no rain. Everything is starting to dry up and the hot winds over a couple of days have singed all my roses.

I managed to get a couple of roses to take to the cemetery, but had to pick loads of bottle brush in various colours to make it look pretty.

I am feeling better now that have my pills again. I had started over a week before I ran out to try and see the doctor. At time it is ridiculous here just trying to get a prescription.

It is great to see the thread moving again.

love and hugs
