Deanna, I can not believe this. I do hope she gets well soon and gets back to being 'pooter geek'. We will miss you until you return.

Makes you realise how fragile everything is.

I have just written out a card to Deanna and sent it from all her gr friends, saying we send positive thoughts to her to get well soon and come back cos we miss her.
It will go off in the morning so hopefully will be with her husband on Monday and he can take it in to her at the hospital.
So glad I got her address a few weeks ago when I wanted to send her something.

Sorry to pass on bad news but I just found this message in my emails from Deannas son Tony

Just a note to let you know that the reason Deanna hasn't responded to any e-mails for a week (and probably wont for at least a few more) is that she is in hospital. She was admitted last Sunday with a stroke and extensive bleeding on the brain. Considering the severity and extent of the original incident she is doing remarkably well but it is too early to tell if she will be able to return to being a 'pooter geek'

Be Well
Tony (Deanna's Son)

PS. Deanna cant really remember names at the moment so I have essentially guessed who to send this to. If you know someone who should really have been included please let them know and extend them my apologies.
Many thanks

Sharron, what you are is a straight shooter, you tell it as it is, no nonsense. I like that in you. I does not come across as uncaring at all. Just straight from the hip. It does give you enough of a jerk reaction to get your brain moving in a different direction though. So I do appreciate that.

Having just posted on here I wonder if I come over as very uncaring.

Really I am not but I just don't do "there, there,Dear".All I can do is try to put another perspective.

That is the bit I have to give.

I think the solicitor should now pay the bills out of the estate but not sure how it works there. The insurance is a worry. stupid man, if there was a fire he would lose his part of the inheritance too.

Trouble is Sharron the priest has early onset dementia, I felt he probably would not have even thought of asking. Poor fella could not even remember dad's name a couple of times and dad has been going to that church for 50 years every Sunday.

Ann you are right, I did get the important stuff, it is a gold mine for me.

It will get sorted eventually, but to me getting the bills paid and insurance is so important.

The priest cut your part out without consulting you?Beggars belief!

How about a word with him? What slant on the truth was he given,I wonder.

Hi everyone. Not to good with names at the moment so please forgive me, my brain is overloaded.

Eileen, welcome to the wall, I brought a flask of coffee as well, but will have some of Lou's chocolate, yum.

Brother has always been bossy and overbearing. Tried to keep the peace when mum and dad were still here though and used to back off. Wrong thing to do I think, he does not know what hit him when I stood up to him finally. He would not let me speak at dad's funeral as too many were speaking already. I did not back down, but he arranged with the priest that my part was cut out. Okay I am over that. Just trying, I guess to show what he is like. He has all legal paper work, deeds, shares, bank accounts etc. When searching for certain papers I found bills that were due, Brother did not take these. So had to phone all concerned for payment and explain about my dad and that bills have been handed over to solicitor. Now the house is uninsured, as they only allow 60 days after death, so have to now arrange for that as well. I cannot even speak his name just now, thus Brother.

I found a treasure trove that Brother had put aside as rubbish. Cards from 1908 until 1969. Old letters as well, so much stuff from family that he was throwing out as rubbish. Hand written messages from my great great grandmothers. But to Brother was rubbish. Just glad I got to it before it ended up in the bin.

Kathy, good luck for Tuesday, you will have us all there holding your hand and feet, feet because there will be so many of us with you.

Eileen, I hope every thing goes okay with the doctor.

Luv and hugs

Gail

Gail, what Ann says, and what I and most people would also say,why indeed doesn't your brother keep your dead dad's garden nice and tidy, if he wants to be the 'chief' son? Surely you all mourn him and want to do what you can to clear his house, in the most respectful way possible?
When my (only) brother died in dec.'79, I was the only one to go through his papers etc and burn everything I didn't want my mother, or anyone else to see. It broke my heart to see what was left of his 41 years on this earth....

Just to let you all know, there is a free spot to sit on my wall..it's a place you can sit and rest a while, and watch the world go by until you feel strong enough to continue your chosen path..There is a flask of tea on the side, and some chocolate, please help yourself..
When you feel stronger follow me up the path, i'll be there waiting for you..
I may pop back to the wall from time to time, just for a visit, so save me a warm spot..

Ps. giving some of my strength to those of you who need it...
