hi everyone

Carol, H had to wean X as is defiantly lactose intolerant. As you can imaging she is devastated and not handling it to well. Many phone calls over the last few days. They cannot get into see the specialist for 9 weeks, appalling for a tiny baby. She was going to try and keep milk until they spoke to specialist, but do not think she will be able to keep up for that long. I told her to contact midwife or nursing mothers association, and see what they have to say.

Within 24 hours of special formula X was smiling and gurgling and sleeping. No pain, no screaming.

It is very sad for H.

I have spent today dealing with insurance and assessor, they have been really nice, but it is still difficult.

Carole I hope things will improve for your dad. Cannot understand why they did not tell you about pneumonia. I have pneumonia injection every 5 years, used to get infection even with a cold, up to 8 times a year. Have not had it now for nearly nine years. In Oz it is the only meds I get for free.

Love & Hugs

Gail

Gail what is H doing with Z, re feeding? Is he any better? Has work started on the kitchen? Email me if you need to talk xxx

Gill, just carry on and ignore them, don't answer pms, if nasty just report them, and ignore anything on a thread that you think might be aimed at you, you might be misunderstanding and if not, report again. If you respond you are only doing what they want and then you get into bother and banned.
If you know who these people are, just ignore their threads.
Stick around, you have paid your dues, get your moneys worth!

Whitenancy, on the How clean is your house prog Weds evening, they showed one of those flea traps I mentioned, the place was in a real state, two dogs and a cat and they showed it had caught some fleas in just a short time. Could be worth trying as long as your mum didn't unplug it lol
Good luck, let us know how you get on re the job and the day off etc.

Hi to all,
Lizxxx

Had a stressful evening with o.h. again, all this cycling and 12 hr shifts covering for someone on hols, isn't doing his temper any good, he is so tired and ranted for over an hour last evening, stupid man.
Didn't even bother to ask after my friend, when I said so, he said I didn't want to remind you of her! Fgs, she is my mind all the time, I feel in limbo waiting to hear she has found peace, and he doesn't want to remind me!!! Dork!

There is a group of women on here that wait for me to post and pounce.

well I say this I don't do meets I don't know anyonre on this site and I don't belong to a gang.

For my cyber friends on this thread thanks for being there.

Hi everyone, Just found you on page 6, I turn my back and there are loads of posts. Sorry not to answer all of them but I am tired and after wine and a whisky not concentrating well. Eileen, you must not feel guilty that you got to your daughters later than you intended, you did well to go at all and I am sure your daughter appreciates that.
WhiteNancy, congratulations on getting a job, you didn't tell us what it is but it is great that they have offered it to you. If you explain about having to fetch your Mum home I am sure they will give you the day off, probably unpaid but it will give you the chance to do your duty to your Mum and show them that you are a responsible person. let's hope now that you get contact from SSAFA.

Gail, glad you are feeling a bit better, you have certainly had a lot to contend with lately and then the kitchen!!!

Gill nice to see you posting on here now, missed seeing your name.

Elaine, glad OH is progressing OK, maybe it is gentle moves at the gym!

Betty, Carole, Liz, Deanna, Joyce and everyone else too numerous to mention. ((((((hugs))))))

Hi Eileen, I have the same problem, can't write to all I would like to as I can't remember the posts and would get people's problems mixed up.
Doesn't mean I am not caring about folk tho and wish everyone a good day today.

Gail, well done you for trying to take your mind off things, hope life improves soon love.

Hi ladies and gents.

Feeling a bit more human today, extra meds helped.

Thank you for the PM's. There is so much going on just now, I have not been able to put it into words on this thread. It has had me at the end of my rope, and the kitchen flooding broke the camels back.

I have been working on my tree today to try and shake it off. Got a lot of work done, but problems are still there.

Love and hugs

Whitenancy, what Liz said makes good sense.Congratulations on getting the job. You certainly have a lot on your plate where your mum's concerned.
Gail, what were the symptoms that led your daughter to take new little one to a doctor? I ask, because I sometimes wonder if my youngest'd daughter's baby may have the same lactose intolerance. She has always been very difficult to feed, either by bottle or breast-feeding.Some days she drinks nothing at all, but loves 'solids'.
Hope your little gandson gets better very soon.
Twinkle, am glad to hear your hubby is gradually getting there. It will be a long, slow but upwards progress. Also good to hear that your lung test had a positive outcome.
To all of you that I haven't mentioned, but think a lot about, I wish you a lovely, happy day, free as worries, as far as that is possible. Wish I had a better memory, then I could mention all the names, as some of you do.

Eileen xx

Whitenancy, ask if you can take that day out, as you had already made arrangements. I am sure they couldn't say no, and it will show you are a reliable person who doesn't like to let people down.
Or rearrange your Mum's day of travelling so you are around. Go for it! Good luck.

Whitenancy, can understand you feeling low, but try to look on the positive side, you have finished your childcare training and have it under your belt and even if you don't find the right job immediately, maybe you can find something to do for now. Have you looked on Gumtree site, they have job ads for childcare and all sorts of jobs, link to the town/city nearest to you.
It will be a struggle with your o.h. not working but as you say worthwhile in the end so I hope things work out soon.
Meanwhile give yourself a pat on the back for doing as well as you have so far and for helping to sort your Mum's things out, it was a trial but you did it, together with your sister, and no one can say you haven't pulled your weight or tried to help your Mum.
I am sure things will work out ok in the end, just try to stay strong and keep looking till you find something worth doing and that keeps the wolf from the door.
Good luck,
Lizxxx

Do get yourself some Rescue Remedy or similar to help you through the difficult times.

Betty, thanks my love and thanks for pms too.

You are such a support.

Yet another sleepless night. Feeling very down at mo got all this stuff going on with my mum and on top of that i urgently need to find a job. OH leave his job on 4th sept to go to college. I was hoping that i would have a job by now having finished college at end of June but nothing has been forthcoming, started to look for jobs outside the childcare sector but potential employers are put off by the fact that i have just qualified in childcare.

I know giving up his job was a big risk but it will mean a better and more financially secure future.
