GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 13 Aug 2008 11:07

PS I it gets any bigger and I tilt in my chair I am going to fall off it.

I have trouble getting up off the floor, and do not feel like crawling around on all twos until hubby comes home after midnight.

Well how do you think that would look to the neighbours, sending and SOS out to get me up while laughing my head off.

If I could show you I would, it is the size of a golf ball. It feels like the size of a pumpkin, the way I am tilted in my chair it is definatly a pumpkin.

Thanks Rose/Ann, will give it a try.

been trying to ignore mine, not too painful and hoping it will disappear. Not in a place where I could reach to put a dressing on and the air certainly doesn't get to it!!!! Might go to Drs if I still have it next week.

Ann in glos, I have not had one since I was a kid. I have started taking vitamin C and multi vitamins, and it comes up ten days after starting. So do I need them or not.

So do I put a bandage on it? Maybe a bandaid? A St John's Wort poultice? Maybe have it lanced? Do not know.

Have you been treating yours? HELP!!!!

Gail, snap!!!! But mine has been there a week or so and is not going, annoying rather than painful and not quite where I sit. How shall I put it? More in a valley!!!!

Hot bath seems to help!

Ann, they trying to hide behind a mask. Drop a bit of venom and move on. Notice there a few, very few on the boards that do this. But have decided they are not worth it.

We miss Gill, and her wisdom.

Hugs to all

Gail

Edited.

Gail, so good t see you back on here in fighting form. I guess Egyptian whatever she is at the moment aka Julie wont come back on here, probably read and say nothing.

Elaine, I hope they sort your poor hubby out eventually, what a mess they seem to have made of his appointments. not wonder you are in a state.

Anita, Please tell us all about the exhibition when you go, lovely to achieve an ambition and something to look forward to.

Good morning everyone from an extremely wet Gloucester.

Message from Gill. please, if you are on Anti depressants do not take St John's Wort it reacts badly with some of them. Please check with Doctor or pharmacist first.

Do you think people who keep changing their names have a personality problem? Or is that a generalisation too????

Hi Mc Anne, you are welcome to join us any time. If ever you feel low again, you can always PM any one of us.

I had a day like that yesterday, also felt like I am a burden to my loved ones, nearly tipped over the edge. I am glad I did no now.

OH, I wish I was coming with you the the exhibition, I did get to see a small one when they were in OZ and that was amazing. Please let us know what it was like.

Elaine , I hope your tests go well, and you get hubby sorted. We do worry about them even when unwell ourselves. Please be kind to yourself. I will be thinking of you and OH. Let us know how you get on at the doctors.

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 13 Aug 2008 09:30

Good morning all :O))

(((HUGS))) all round i think

i put up a thread last week when i was feeling overwhelmed by depression (luckily only a 24 hours spat) - but i felt that bad i sat and thought what was the point of my being on this earth !!

have never had thoughts like that before and it fair gave me a jolt i can tell you

and yes you guessed it ........... some ignorant and insensitive soul came onto my thread and told me to pull myself together !!!

i wonder - had i been just that little bit more 'fragile', how she would have felt to read bad news of my demise the next day ????

not helpful some people .....................

Anyway St Johns Wort did diddly squat for me lol

On a more cheery note - i am all excited cos i booked myself a ticket last night to go and see the Tutankhamun exhibition at the O2 end of the month - my lifetime ambition :O)))

How sad to see that Egyptian Goddess has decided to adopt the "pull yourself together" attitude that is so prevalent in society today - the last thing on earth a depressed person wants to hear

As has been said, this thread has been more help to people than many GPs and professionals and given the opportunity to people to unburden themselves to people in similar situations

Thank you to all you lovely people. I also feel it is like family on here. We tell of our downs, but the ups
are something we enjoy seeing happening to our friends on here. We have been so lucky to have found each other.

Thank you to each and every one of you for the help we share xxxx

GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 13 Aug 2008 05:18

Hi everyone, had to crawl back in my cocoon for a while. When I was working 99% of my clients were lovely, but it is the 1% that you remember, it is an unfortunate fact of life that that very small % can disrupt so quickly.

Like Y/Caz, I am feeling very vulnerable just now and needed you all more than normal, I know I need to open up to people more and stand up for myself as well.

The Egyptian person does not walk in our shoes, does not know the full extent of our lives, does not realise that we feel others pain and suffering even more because of our own problems. We do not sit around feeling sorry for ourselves all the time either. There is also so much more that we do not share with everyone. Instead do so via PM and E-mail.

This thread has been a great source of inspiration and comfort for me, people being able to share their problems and offer support.

If this person reads this thread again, I will not give your sad sad life any joy by leaving and will continue posting. My reaction yesterday was very knee jerk reaction. How dare someone try to come between friends.

I will get over my things in my own time. St John's Wort? What a laugh, do you think we havn't tried these things before having to resort to heavy duty meds.

Sorry for kicking up a fuss, but was in a bad space at the time, and really needed to post when I spotted EG's comment.

Carole, I do know how hard it is when parents are not well, as you know. We do become the parent and reverse rolls though dont we.

Extra hugs for all and a very gentle one for Y/Caz.

I will be back, with a vengeance.

Gail
