Jeannie, well done, that was a very brave and I know hard thing for you to do. you are a good person, funny and kind and very likeable. I hope that we on here are helping you to face your depression.
Thank goodness young children no longer have to face their attackers in court but can do it via video. what an awful ordeal for you. and how sad that you were (intentionally or unintentionally) made to feel that you were to blame by your Mother.

By the way, to my knowledge you didn't upset anyone on here I am sure last week.

again, well done for telling us.

Snow White

Having read your post I don't know I have any words that will help. What an awful ordeal for you to have gone through, and especially at such an early age.

I think all I can say is that I think it must be a good thing for you that you have been brave enough to face what happened & to tell your story & I sincerely hope that you will find comfort and peace and continue to build your life.

Sorry I don't know how to put it, but I wish you well. I'm sure there will be lots of support on here for you.

God Bless,

Thank you for your kind words Ann.Of course I will do my best to enjoy the weeks in Italy, otherwise I would spoil things for my daughter.Maybe if it was another time, when things weren't so difficult with youngest & little ones, I could relax a bit.She wanted me there today. No room at the inn at her place, due to her not having a spare room etc.Since the birth of baby Anna (Easter sunday) she has been ill twice with mastitis, baby does not feed properly at all, which is extremely worrying for all of us, cries a lot, mostly screaming really, and won't go to anyone else, so she never has a break at all.See what I mean?
Maybe my children think I have magical powers, or a magic wand.
Elaine, hope the blood test results are good for your hubby.
Deanna, do you mean to say that Allen's appointment (today) with the cardio. was cancelled? If so, how awful for both of you.
Wishing all of you who are suffering one way or another, a good day, with plenty of sunshine and without too much stress.

Oh Deanna, what a nuisance, september is so long for him and you to wait. Hope all goes well for him today anyway.

Elaine, Is there any possibility that your OH is allergic to any of the medication he is taking. for example I know several people who have been given morphine after operations and they have proved to be intolerant or even allergic to it.
Hope he improves soon.

Elaine, I'm sorry your husband id feeling so low. lets hope the blood results help.
I agree that he was probably let out too soon. X

Eileen, no point in telling you that you worry too much... I know that.
Your children are your children, whatever their ages.
No one told me how much worry I would *enjoy* over the tiny baby I wanted!
Just don't over do it love, and I will write later. X

Carole... I love planes... they are two of the 'miracles
which no one can explain to me... the other one is cameras.....
Explain all you want, and all I see is a miracle.
My family think I'm huts, but then there are many other things I could be.... much worse that nuts!;-0)

Well, we had another letter from the hospital for Allan today.... an appointment with the cardiologist for SEPTEMBER!!.... SO. I will let you know later what this one today is for.We are very disappointed.

ah well.
Every one of you have a great day, and I will be back later to tell you what happened with Allan.

Love to all,

Eileen, what a dilemma. You are a great Mum but you do worry so over your girls and their families. you must also look after yourself you know or you will be no good to any of them. enjoy your holiday in Italy I am sure youngest and family will recover and be fine.

How miserable it looks outdoors, very dark, raining.Still quite hot though.
My youngest daughter was desperate yesterday, she has a sore throat, fever etc. as does her little son and baby Anna.Partner is also off colour, but has taken too much time off work as it is, so only has another week in august. This is the worst possible time for her, because her baby-sitter is on a 3-week holiday from today, I am going to Italy on saturday with another daughter & family.I would dearly love to cancel, but she would be very disappointed, and, it could be the last time her son will go with them on a family holiday, as it's his 18th in january.
So, the only thing I could think of, is to go to Amsterdam as early as posible tomorrow, i.e 6.45 to be with youngest and little ones at 9-ish, IF the trains are on time for a change! It wil be a very long day. I would have gone yesterday evening, so as to be there for two days, but, the other daughter's son (where I always sleep over) has contracted chicken pox, so is contagious, something the little ones of youngest can do without now. What bad timing! It is a shame for the little one with C.P because he was due to go to summer camp today....poor kid.HIs mum is pulling her hair out in frustration, because everyone is either away or working, so who is going to be with him when she works? I feel so sorry for all of them, wish there was 3 or more of me.

Love to all today, hope your day is far better thsan mine.Sorry for moaning, I just don't know what to do for the best.

just popped in to see you all! Had a good day yesterday at the air show. Couldn't have gone there last year, would have been too much of a worry with the loo thing! I was ok. Weather could have been better but never mind. We went in an AWAC and a Hurcules. Vulcan was poorly so couldn't fly :o(

Love to you all.

Hi everyone

Gill I never go on chat and havent seen the nasty things being directed at you but I agree with everyone else .Try to ignore it you are NOT worthless and you DO have friends here who want to hear from you.

I believe in karma and what goes around comes around so forget these cowards because that is what they are .

Thinking of you all and hope you have a good day .Must off to watch the tennis.

Before I go must tell you a funny .Sister was in Edinburgh last week and while she was researching at GRO a member of staff came and said if you want to see the queen you will have to go out now .Not likely said my sister this is more important .So much for being patriotic !!!!

Deanna,
That takes me back to my childhood. My uncle paddy used to often say "rise and shine, the sun's splitting the stones".Haven't heard that since.
Enjoy your afternoon of leisure with your lovely hubby Allen, and good luck for tomorrow.
Elaine, it is true what Deanna says.Very normal after major surgery to feel emotionally at a low ebb, tired and/or depressed.Have been there often. It does disappear though.
Hi Carole, Betty (not heard from her for a while!) Liz and everyone else on here.as I already said, tomorrow is the beginning of another week, so let us all begin it with hope.

Elaine..... please take it from me that your husband is suffering a normal post op depression love.
He will be behaving differently from everyone else... he is your OH.
Me ? I behaved like ME.......... after a few days/a week..... I took to crying!
It was the nurses who told me that that was normal....
Just treat him as you always do, with love. xx

Gill.... please please please don't allow those people to put you down love.
I know I don't know you, or indeed any one on the boards, and you all don't know me.
BUT... the only thing we need to know about each other is that we are all sensitive human beings who need love and understanding.
If you have come across ANYONE who treats you less than you deserve.... ignore them, and don't give them anymore of yourself. You are too important for that love.
And whatever you do..... keep coming on here. there is always a friend here.
love Deanna XX

Ann thank you for your message.X

Carole.. thanks for thinking of me.X

Puss thanks for that, and enjoy your visit with David. X

To all you others, I say have a lovely day.
I really must go and answer my mail before the film starts.... I do love the afternoons with my husband... a cup of coffee and a nice film, unless the sun is shinning *splitting the paving stones* as Allan says, then he likes to sit outside.
see you all tomorrow, and be happy.
lots of love

It is very disturbing and upsetting to read your post Gill. How can anyone deliberately set out say nasty things to hurt another human being?
I don't normally read and/or answer posts on the General or Chat boards of an evening, so don't know who is saying these things. Can anyone explain to me why this mostly happens of an (late) evening?
At least this thread has been spared this, so far.
You are all so very supportive and generous with your help, even though you all have enough on your plates as it is.
I don't post as often as I would like to, but am rather afraid to open up my personal can of worms, as I have been used to keeping everything locked away in side.It took me ages to pluck up the courage to post my first message.
To all of you you have pm'd me and offered sympathy and help on the board, my heartfelt thanks.
Hope we all can start afresh from tomorrow, full of optimism and good cheer.

Can we all send positive healing thoughts to Gill who is so depressed that she feels really ill.

It is horrible what people can do to cause others to be ill on these boards. and i don't know who why where or when but I can guess.

gill we are all her for you, take a break and come back to us soon.

Gill, Please continue posting but stay on here. I don't know what has happened but I did see you post a thread on chat which seemed to act like a magnet for others who I would not have thought were your friends. And the thread was not contentious.

Please can you not rise above it. the people who write these things about you are not wort worrying about. and I can't thank you enough for your help in finding OH's brother's children after we had 'mislaid' them for 40 years!

Just post on this thread where people are never nasty.
