Joyce, don't worry. I googled it and it says all people should be able to access it through their gps and who to complain to if the gp won't pay or something so will be talking to my doctor on Monday and see what she can sort out. It does say it can work for ocd sufferers so will have a look further when my brain is more receptive.

Gail, Rescue Remedy is a Bach remedy, you should be able to get it where you are, I would think it is world wide now. Easy and safe to use, and helps hugely with anxiety etc.
Maxi-mary, your garden sounds super, so wish I could send you bits from here to add to it. Have so much extra stuff growing and can't bear to throw it, will be making contact with a woman who sells plants for charity and see if she wants to come and pick lots up.
Hope Colleen enjoys her presentation and things continue to go well for her, and you. Just take care, tho, don't go wearing yourself out. That goes for everyone getting inspired to do gardening and that swear word too lol

Love

Some days he is up at three am others it 10 am. Never has a chance of propper routine. Sorry I thought you meant your counsellor had given up on you, but I understand what you actually mean now! xx

Mary is there a link to read about the presentation tomorrow, or is it the link you sent ? If it's a new one I'd love to see it.xxx

Mary-Lou it's your mind saying you can't be bothred!
Take over it and do something, that way you will prove you can do stuff. xxx

Gail it's only Thursday, hope to hear more from you before Sunday xxx

maxiMary Report 19 Jun 2008 14:58

Morning all.
Just dropping in quickly, busy day before work, been doing a lot in the garden between multiple heavy downpours. Ground is saturated, and heavy to work.

My daughter Colleen is receiving her cheque for the Womens opportunity award tomorrow, she so deserves this opportunity. The media have been invited to the University where the presentation will take place. If anyone is interested in reading the blurb, pm me for the link.
I am on "cloud 9" momentarily. Mood is 'iffy' otherwise, still waiting for my Dr's appt.
Another VERY overcast day, almost chilly. That's what I hate about our climate- it's one of extremes - no long spring or autumn, jump from winter to summer.
Been working hard on flower beds and have 3 looking very nice, once they bloom should be magnificent.
All achieved with very minimal expense, trading perennial slips and buying when pre-season sale was on, for a fraction of the regular price.
I've helped miniMary age 11 , create a garden, we found a small child-size wood wheelbarrow in someones rubbish by the road, have it painted bright red with yellow wheel and handles, and we've filled it with trailing petunias and something yellow which name escapes me. we planted more around the wheel barrow and put 3 little stepping stones, surrounded the "garden " with rocks and hung a small wind-chime. She is thrilled at the results. All we need now is an entry arch but they are too expensive to consider.
My shade garden is coming along, looks very peaceful and as the hostas grow, should be beautiful.
Someday I'll have a koi pond in there.
back to work - before work - hugs to all,
Mary
The veggie patch is full of grass, I'll tackle that on Saturday, if it's not raining. The fence goes up on Monday or Tuesday. Kids are out of school for the summer next Wednesday so at least sarah will be safe in the garden now.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 19 Jun 2008 11:44

Gail, hope things go ok with the travelling and the baby's birth so you can be there to see little one arrive and spend time with your daughter. Have you got some Rescue Remedy to help you through the flight (and after when the excitement gets too much lol)
Shame your Dad took the action he did but he is an adult and has to be responsible for himself, you have your life to live as best you can and you deserve to be with your daughter at this special time. You have done as much as you can for your Dad, and I am sure you will do more when you get back.

Deana, had to laugh, at least your son will know there are letters and things to look and clear much later on, but it will be his decision then and he won't be able to complain about them lol Well done for clearing what you did sort out.

Carole, I am not getting paranoid, I just wondered if she would look into it herself for other patients. After all, she is the therapy manager for our local MIND so should be prepared to look into everything and anything going for clients. She is a lovely woman but seems to me the job is too much for her, she sometimes remembers things she should have done while with me, and has cancelled apptmts often because of mix ups over dates etc.

When I was on holiday I was going to bed around midnight, 1am, and waking up several times in the night with bad dreams or needing the loo, then getting up around 11 am. It is the fm and chronic fatigue causing the problems, I never get enough quality sleep. I haven't woken up feeling refreshed for many years now. I have always been a night owl, even when small, couldn't get to sleep till late evening but struggled to get up for school or work altho I did it of course. I have always seemed to need more sleep than many people, i.e. more than 8 hrs a night. Got up now to go to the loo and get a drink and decided to come on here for a few mins so I can keep up with things, as when he gets home I won't get on here while he is awake, he doesn't like me using the computer while he is around. So I am getting some washing out and then will need to go back and sleep a bit more. Yesterday I got up and did some washing, and felt so weak I had to go back and rest for an hour, I fell asleep again and he left me to sleep for two hours before I woke and came down to find the washing hung up after a fashion. Then I had to cook dinner and wash up and help him with some stuff on the computer till he went to bed at 10.30 ready for the early start today.
I would love to be able to stay somewhere alone for a few weeks but that isn't going to happen at the mo, am hoping at some stage to maybe find a housesit I can go to and have some me time but have too much to deal with here at present.
Anyway must go back and get some more sleep or I will be collapsing in a heap later on. I want to try and conserve my energy for Saturday, our Norwich meet and I don't want to sit there like a dozy old woman. Somedays I feel like a puppet which has has its strings let go of, if that makes sense? Not grammatically correct but hope you get what I mean.
Take care everyone, have a good day.
love and hugs
Lizxx

GranOfOzRubySlippers Report 19 Jun 2008 11:08

Morning/Evening.

Just been trying to catch up on your posts.

Well, I am flying out to my daughter on Sunday, ticket purchased, bag packed, very nervous about flying on my own, do not like enclosed places. Plus, very small planes, yes have to change planes as flying from one very small place to another very small place.

Have not seen daughter since March, so excitement is mounting and also the prospect of impending birth of a new grandson/daughter. She has not dropped yet, so hopefully will make the birth. What a privilege to be invited to the birth.

They have told the happy couple that will be a boy, but I will wait and see, whichever will be very welcome.

My dad is home from hospital again, signed himself out again, not happy as had respite care organised when he got out, but think that is now gone again, after signing himself out. He still cannot be left on his own. But I am going none the less, was supposed to have been gone last week.

Please try and be kind to yourselves, I will try and look in, and let you know when baby makes an appearance.

Love and Hugs

Gail

Carole Report 19 Jun 2008 10:04

Hi Betty I did get a pm from you a couple of days ago which I still need to reply to. Hope you are enjoying having your grandson with you.

Elaine I too would be stressed if I had my oh going into hospital soon. Keep doing little jobs to take your mind off it, but don't over do it and make yourself ill! Sit with him and relax watching a good film or something you enjoy. He must also be scarred stiff! No wonder you feel tearful. Next week this time it will be done and recovery started.( I have replied to all my pm's except one from Betty.) Sending you both hugs (((xx)))

Liz you are getting paranoid, your counsellor probably doesn't know about the beating the blues.
If she doesn't know where to go next with you, and thought that programme would help you she would tell you if she knew about it. Have you ever tried to get into a more regular sleeping pattern? It would be better for you as you would be eating at regular times and have a longer day. The day light would do you good. I know you are doing it to avoid your partner but there must be other ways, you are making yourself a prisoner. xxxx

Carolina how are things going? xx

Deanna how are you getting on with the sorting?
I know I didn't do much for you, but I didn't know what to put in the keep pile! We have a clear out every couple of years and my oh can't understand why I want to keep the leaflets about the house we bought 28 years ago! Also a leaflet about same house when we sold it (for £1700,00) lol. I also have the records from the doctors about my pregnancies.

Coming here is like seeing friends there is always someone who knows your name (like Cheers!) It gives me something to look forward to doing! The messages I have had that say thank you for your help make me feel I am not a worthless child, but an adult with some ideas that seem to have helped some of you. That feeling is priceless .......thanks

Liz I kept the whole blooming envelopes!!
My son was so hurt when he thought that I was *ripping up hrs history!* so I just ripped up things which had been kept too long and needed throwing out.
Today I will be tackling another job.
I wish I had the health and the stamina I used to have., things would be so much quicker.
Allan is doing nothing today... he really has over done it, and I have been a good girl.... and left him alone. AND that was hard for me to do.

Elaine... keep your chin up love, we are all still thinking of you and your lovely man.

All of you I will speak later... when I have a nice home with more space in it! ;-0)

And ~Carole, keep them on their toes... I will be back. X

Love to all,

Btw rang counsellor Weds pm to say I wanted to cancel Thursday's apptmt, I know I would be too stressed to have to rush and get there by 1pm Said I would ring her and make a new apptmt later on. Asked about the Beating the Blues thing but she didn't know anything about it, and suggested I google for info. Wonder if she will look into it for other patients?
Will be asking my doc at my apptmt on Monday.

Oh Elaine... don't expect so much from yourself.. I just know he is going to be fine.
And if he is laughing... you can laugh too. X

I'm finished for the day. I am shocked at how little my days work turned out to be, and how long it took me!
You may all understand when I tell you that the job I chose to do this afternoon was.... sorting out old letters postcards and birthday cards.
I was happily 'filing' them in
*keep* *rip up* and pile envelopes and rubbish in the paper recycling bin!
Son comes in and 'shouts' at me.... "that is my history you are ripping up and throwing out"....... couldn't throw him out as he had made our tomorrows dinner and brought it down to us! ;-0)
Bless him, I was putting all the bits I thought necessary for him to keep in plastic folder envelopes!!
I'm a good girl me!
Anyway everyone, have a nice rest tonight and I'll be back tomorrow to have a chat... if I can wake up after my unaccustomed hard work. ha ha ha

Good night all, and cheer up all who are feeling unhappy..... come and help me sort out my rubbish, we will have such a laugh.

Hello chaps!
I have had a lovley day off, had my hair and nails done so feeling a little more human today!
To Tinker- I have been perscribed seroxat, I havent felt them have too much of an effect as i ve only been taking them for about 3 weeks, but they do make me feel a bit spacey! especially the first week it was a very strange feeling. And again i am on the waiting list to see yet another coucillor but the waiting list is about 12 months at the moment, sometimes its just better to pick up the phone to a sypmpathetic ear and just let it all go sometimes! Like ive said before in previous msgs the support of an understanding hubby goes a long way, i dont know how he has put up with me for this long but for that i am very thankful!
On a lighter note thank goodness its wednesday! Eastenders for an hour! ive totally missed my soap cant wait for the footie to finish! Very gripping episode !
take care everyone!

The man who worked his miracles on me is near Portsmouth and I would be more than willing to recommend him to anybody,I owe him so much,THANK YOU CHRIS!!!!!

There are some very interesting post's on here this morning.
If you are interested a web site that is free and all you do is set up a pass word, is moodgym. Has anyone tried it?

Joyce I hope you get some positive help and soon!

Has anyone had any news from Angela?

Mary Lou lovely to see you. Sorry to read you had this set back. Hope your new tablets work better for you. What are they? So what have you been doing now these tablets are starting to help?

Elaine it was a big day and you coped so well. Your mind worked hard to get you through it. No wonder you are now feeling the come down.

Kathy this new commity you have joined is great news. The fact that you have something to put your mind to will help move you forward. J was a bit silly not letting the uni know, but it happens. When you feel ill you can't think straight. Hope he can carry on with next year, or resit this one.

No work today so going to push myself to go to B&Q
get some cement. If rain holds off I might even try to do the job of digging a hole and putting the rotary line
in properly after oh's job didn't work. It looks like the leaning tower!

You are all coming with me!! (in mind) have a good day xx
