Sue Report 21 May 2008 16:34

Hello everyone.

Went off my my 'limp' on Sunday as I was sick of the arguing on gen. Managed to walk about 30 yards from the car to a seat on the river in front of the pub! Chatted to the owners who I have known for years but haven't seen them since I was last there in November.

Caroline had her CT scan re ms v sarcoidosis earlier this week. She won't get the results for 2 - 3 weeks. She is much more relaxed about it than me. Having lived with the ms diagnosis for 12 years she is used to all these tests.

I threw a complete wobbly when I found out I had been tracing the wrong branch in my tree, thank you to all those who supported me through my day of weeping! A friend reckons I wouldn't have fallen apart if my health was OK.

Yesterday I was determined to get my blasted socks on cos my feet get cold especially the duff leg one. I tried bending duff leg at the knee and hooking the sock backwards and putting it on. Gawd the positions I got into I should be in a circus. Took me 10 minutes and my hip and chest muscles really hurt afterwards. Told my physio today and she suggested I invent something that is practical. Not like that bl**dy sock aid.

I have temporarily cut down on the painkillers just to see how much pain I am still experiencing and what my activity tolerances are. I'll give it another 2 days then adjust my meds. When the groin goes into spasm I can't help but clutch the area. People seeing this must think I am really strange but it's instinctual and I can't stop it.

Glad to see there are more people on this thread, it really does help us all.

I just wish I could read AND remember what people have said I'm sorry that I can't but I do care about what you are all going through.

Love to everyone suffering mental or physical pain.

Carolina, Good to see you on here and you sound more positive too which is good. There is nothing like growing flowers, watching them grow and then seeing the results so enjoy the fruits of your labours. I am not a good one for cleaning so i too get remarks when i have a blitz. OH usually asks if we are expecting visitors. But he is only joking and he does do half the housework himself. he does the floors and I dust and polish. he cleans the cloakroom and I do the bathroom, he does the ironing. But in the summer he is doing the gardening which I now find hard because of my back, so i do more housework.

Hope your time in court is OK.

Paul, good to see you on here, pop in and see us again.

Welcome to our thread to Bernie and Paul.
If any of us can help we will!!

Bernie I'm not (aware of being) in the change yet myself. But won't be long I guess! Hope you find someone here to talk to.

Paul, the panic attacks are awful aren't they. I think the best you can do is see your doctor about having awhile off work to start with. Get those panic attacks
under control. Then you can get back to work. I had four months off last year. (Not the first time). Rescue remedy helped a lot of us. I see you have tried moodgym. I'm sure you will get lots of support here. Talking seems to help, those who haven't been through it get fed up listening, but we don't!!

Everyone else thinking of you all xxx

Delicately put Ann, i regret the day I was taken off after I had a cyst. Had been on it 9 years, was a great help with 'marital relations'.

Hi Bernie - regarding HRT - I was on it for years with only positive side effects - the reason I went on it was because - how can I put this delicately - marital relations were impossible presumably because certain hormones had packed in - the HRT eased the problem totally - I no longer take HRT as OH sadly died just over five years ago so not needed now, but I would recommend it - it worked for me!! Hope this helps.

Oh dear Caz,
is that you getting your knickers in a twist... again! cannot leave you alone for two minutes before you start misbehaving, what shall I do with you?
Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hope your consultant has favourable news to impart, for a change.
Hope to catch up later tomorrow with any funny incidents occurring during the computer 'lesson', who knows someone might be expelled from class, quite likely me for cheating.
Well!!!!! I did cheat, or attempted to, last week... we were given a test paper which had diagrams comprising of boxes, one had to identify and name the notations on the tool bar from memory, then fill in the blanks. There were a couple I was not sure of having never used them before..I opened 'windows' and had a look... a hand appeared in front of me and the screen went blank... the hand belonged to the tutor... he just winked at me and walked on.. am I bad or am I bad lol.
Time now to take a break so will say goodnight and god bless to you all.

Gail, oh dear lass, there is nothing so stressful as seeing the people you love suffering, just hope that they are making him as comfortable as possible. Please give him a big hug from me and a couple of hugs thrown in for yourself.
Take care,
