I'm home minus two back teeth! Three stitches and a face so swollen I look like i had a match with Mike Tyson and lost! Another tooth out Friday next week. Then after my holiday a filling replaced. Will have to earn some extra money at the Stone Bow to pay for all this!!
Dentist did a good job of keeping all instraments out of my view!! Now to start the healing part

Thanks Caz it's lovely to see you here, hope you are doing okay xx

Carole hold in there, you know you will feel better when you have been. I used to be terrified of the dentist until I had no choice with an abcess, the change in dentists from the last time I went was amazing, no need to be scared any more, it must have been 25 years before I went with the abcess.
I will be thinking of you today and holding your hand across the cyber space.

Love Caz x

Carole Report 13 Sep 2011 22:18

Had an examination of my mouth! Back tomorrow for an extraction and another next week! Then after our holiday a filling needs replacing. Long term there is a tooth he will keep an eye on it might need root treatment! Joining a dental plan. But all this work will be private. Anything else will be covered by plan. Steve said it's my Christmas present! Think Christmas could be cancelled after paying for this lot!!

When mum was dying she kept saying she wanted to go home. All the others was thinking she wanted to go home where she was living. It wasnt she wanted to go home where she was born, so to me and my sister she is there. So thats where i put the flowers behide the house, it lays back from a cannel.

Yes its the way i feel. But if it helps to go away Carole. I think your dad would like you to be enjoying your self. As he will know you will always have him in your mind.

Hazel I'm the same if I am upset! Any stress and I need to go to the loo.
Coming up to a year since my Dad died. Oct 2nd. Strange feeling hanging over me. Is that how you feel Hazel? We booked a holiday so will be away, feels wrong. But there is nothing we could do if we were here. Mum wanted to bury his ashes in the garden of rememberance so no real place to go to sit with his remains.

Dentist this afternoon, stomach starting to turn!!

Hazel I'm going to the dentist tomorrow. Why don't you see your Dr this week not wait till next week? OH called and got me in at the dentist.
How did your medical go?
Sharon you are right I know I should go to the dentist, I'm so frightened. But I'm going and relieved the appointment is made.
How are you Sharon, and your OH and dad?
Dutch thanks, I thought Liz had already gone.

Carole, the condition of your teeth could actually be making you feel unwell.

I am pretty terrified of the dentist too but do go every six months because he has never yet done anything that has caused me as much pain as a tooth abcess.

Pain grinds you down and makes you depressed and,if you have any infection there , it will make you run down as well.

Get your butt round to the man with the drill asap!

My hypnotherapist made it so I could self-hypnotize and that is a huge help too.

Thank you Carole

Its helps knowing others know how you feel helps in way dont you think?

Your last line you wrote i am the same and just looking at the word makes me ill.i am in VERY BAD NEED TO GO. But cant.

I have other things also that i am worrying about. So just all piling up at once. But going to take a day at a time and see how it goes.
I dont want to go on the tablets again. But it looks like i am going to have to.So will go and see doctor next week. I take my pain killers as well,to help me carry on best way i can to deal with the pain i am in away with my bones.

Well i am going for shower now to get ready for medcal.

Hazel it sounds a bit of a rough time for you.

Having been feeling off it for a few weeks really, the penny dropped this morning. I have been awake most of the night with tooth ache. Got up for a wee, again for tablets and gel to put on gums. Then again for a wee. And finally at 5:45 I started needing the loo and feeling sick. The temperature and nausea I have been feeling I realised is stress. As soon as I had decided to call in sick to work I felt more relaxed. Finally slept. My sleep has been bad for a few weeks. My daughter has been texting me daily how many days left to our holiday. That 9 hour flight! Still on 40 mg citalopram I feel I need something else to relax me. I asked H not to text me how many days any more! Because of stress I haven't been to a dentist for years. I''m really frightened.

Mary, so pleased that you are feeling better now. Well done the new drugs. I am not on so much as I am also on holiday in Tenerife for 4 weeks. One down three to go. It is sad that Gareth has to take so many meds but hopefully they do give him (and you) a better quality of life.

The old man excelled himself today. For his lunch today he wanted Aviemore. Where he got that word from I really do not know but he had cheese on toast.

I know Liz is on holiday, but where is everyone else?????
Here I am back in routine, not well settled into it yet, but functioning. I am delighted to report that my new medication for blood pressure, is not only effective in controlling the BP extremes, but I feel human again - was beginning to imagine all sorts of dire diagnoses!!! Finally, after 2 months of instability, I 'm back on my feet, no longer keeling over, falling, tripping, injuring myself with constant skin tears, and falling asleep at the drop of a hat. LOL.
Went to a retirement dinner for a friend this week and found myself amused at how many of us were now receiving the seniors discount for the meal LOL. I have arrived!!
Lovely sunny day today, the past few days have been very chilly but I love it, just warm enough for pullovers, no extremes of temperatures now. mercifully the mood improves as the physical self improves, even went for a walk this morning.
Kids all back to school now, miniMary is so very happy at her new school, good for her to be separated from the others, to have her own school space, just for her. She is away at camp with her school 'house' for 3 days now, to allow old and new students to integrate and develop friendships and self confidence! I think it is a fabulous idea. They are at a summer camp 4 hours north of here, all facilities, currently unused after the summer. So glad she can have this experience, but I have to shorten the school kilt before she returns on the weekend.
Hugs to those who need them,
Mary

good night all. Had a busy day with sir Gareth who is now on a further increased dose of his med PLUS a new one added specifically for ADHD. Poor child, breaks my heart to see him so distressed, banging his head and screaming, to say nothing of swatting at his grandmother. Good thing I'm not frail yet. LOL. Just hate to see a 10 year old on psychiatric drugs, though we know he needs them.
Tomorrow will begin the last weekend of the summer, back to routine next week.
