I would hope that Hazel's sister's insurers will throw the book at the trailer driver, but I assume that maybe there will be a prosecution as well as the police were involved.

Yes a medical family tree is a good idea. I must admit that I did start one but have not completed it. How far back do you go with yours. i.e. how far back is considered relevant?

maxiMary Report 8 Jul 2011 13:02

Hazel you were lucky, blessed. There will be some charges laid, no doubt, for whomever didn't secure their trailer, the results could have been catastrophic.
Time for repeat scopes and pretty squishy pictures, I should be well radiated by the end of August. My anxiety levels escalate rapidly, when approaching the time for repeat scopes, unspoken fear of cancer I suppose, with a strong family tree history. This is the time I remind others about creating a medical family tree, should a diagnosis present itself, the family history can be so helpful, but it is easy to forget things when under pressure. My medical family tree has evolved into a scroll LOL. When our family was being screened for a world-wide autism study, the researchers were delighted with the amount of info we had on extended family. It is well worth considering the creation of a medical family tree.
In the past week, twice I have been wakened by someone calling my name, one male, one female. Anyone have an explanation.
Have a better day . .
Mary :-)

Hi

No one else was hurt. Babs car went into a trailer that came off back a car and went across 3 lanes of A12 in front of us and we hit that. Lucky the man behide us saw what happen and slowed down. We were just waiting for someone to hit us in the back, but mum was looking over us and that didnt happen. So we were very lucky indeed.

We are both ok. still getting that dizzyness and sickness.Pain not so bad now.But will take time to heal.

((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))to you all. Thank you.

Hazel, I am sorry to hear about the accident but pleased that you both were OK. Was anyone else involved/hurt?

Sharron, there you are you see your treat was to be a barrow load of dung.

Mary, well done the girls for winning a gold and a silver, they must have both been thrilled. Hope they all got home safely.

Carole Report 7 Jul 2011 21:04

Hazel I'm so sorry you and your sister were involved in the accident. The car is replaceable
as long as you two weren't too hurt. As you say it was special cos your mum got it, but it protected you both. And your mum would be pleased about that.

mary pleased the dancing went so well xx

Oh Hazel I am glad you are both OK, what a horrible experience for you.
Colleen and the 2 girls are on their way home from Chicago, should arrive here tomorrow mid-morning, They were 5 hours late on the way out, hoping this return trip will be easier. Em and her team did extraordinarily well at the Dance America finals, they only participated in a HipHop routine and a Jazz routine, got gold for HipHop and Silver for Jazz. Other members participated in ballet, tap and lyrical, but I haven't heard about their marks. Not bad for North American finals LOL. Seems Em has found her niche!
I am tired after 4 days with S&G, with megan. Sarah has been pacing yesterday and today, keeps going to the window, saying "want Mump" which is her name for Mummy. When C called this morning we put Sarah on the phone and she actually said "I need you". C was thrilled, because Sarah rarely volunteers her thoughts.
I am getting away with easy meals when the others have been gone.Been working in the garden and helping my neighbour who had a doctors appt today but was too nervbous to drive herself. I drove and took her out for lunch and she came home smiling!!
making a chocolate fruit cake now, long slow cooking, hope I don't forget it's in the oven and fall asleep LOL.
Enjoy your day, Sharron I hope the garden gnome and his wheelbarrow returned safely LOL>

I am here suffering from a terminal cold and Fred Antsinpants has gone off somewhere in his wheelchair.

He is not supposed to go off alone in it and I hope he doesn't get stuck anywhere because he will have to stay there.I really don't feel like pulling him out!

Mary I hope Coleen and the girls enjoy their trip, a fantastic experience for the girls.

Crafty Gareth, maybe he wanted somewhere 'secret' to be his own place.

Hope you don't get any more chest pains, I am sure thatw as frightening.

Carole, how wonderful to trace your friend after all this time. The power of the net.

And Hazel too finding your friend, well done.

Tinkets, one step at a time. Onwards and upwards.

Mary I hope Colleen and the girls have a lovely time. Em must be very good at her dancing.
What a lovely experience for them.
Hope you find the answers in your awaited letter.
Have you been watching the Royals in Canada?
I too have been getting a bit worried, I have been feeling a panic coming on. Not too strong but enough to let me know it hasn't really gone away.
Had a lottery win Saturday. Our syndicate at work got five numbers. Shared between 13 of us! So a nice £214 each. Going to share mine with the kids

maxiMary Report 3 Jul 2011 04:42

How is everyone today?
I'm on a downer the last couple of days, but trying to climb up again. Blood pressure was up, now almost 'normal" again. We had Canada day yesterday, the kids enjoyed the community fireworks last night.
Had a fright todaywhen I had an extreme episode of chest pain, thank goodness for nitro - it was effective. This episode really frightened me - a friend had to have emergency bypass surgery last week, so I suppose that's in the back of my mind.
It's unusual for me to be down in the summer, I have SAAD and expect these episodes in the winter.
We lost Gareth yesterday - eventually found under the house, where the foundation was replaced a month ago, and a trap door was created for access to the plumbing. Apparently it's his new playhouse LOL
Hope everyone is well, it's so quiet on here recently.
I am keeping fingers crossed, awaiting a document which may provide info for which I have been searching for 30+ years. If it has the words I am seeking, I'll finally have a clue to my grandfather's paternity. At least the mail has started moving again here, slowly but it's moving.
I am watching "Hoarders - buried alive" this evening, and am realising that some of my issues may have started or accelerated when my mother died 10 years ago. Some of what the hoarders are expressing really hits home.
Colleen & 2 of the girls have gone to Chicago tonight for the Dance America final competition for 2011. I am amazed that Em has qualified to join her competitive team at such a huge event. They have gone by train, an 8 hour trip after crossing the border. Hope they travel safely, it will be a very exciting experience for Em and her Mum.

Well done Tinkers. What it was that upset you, don't put it to the back of your mind to ferment and grow bigger. Think about it. Write about it, burn it afterwards. Or shread it.
Think about how you can't change what ever it was. But be more prepared for next time it bothers you.

I have some good news. When our daughter was Christened in 1983 one of the God parents was Shaun, a school friend of Steves. He went to USA and being of an American father never came back. We lost touch until last week. We had searched the internet for him for years, but never had any luck. Today we had a quick call to him. How exciting.
Facebook is the place we found him on the account of another friend with a less common name, hence Shaun had been able to find him. Shauns first question to Steve was how's my God daughter. And her first question after I told her we had found him was, where is my birthday money for the last 22 years. hahaa
