Tinkers do try not to be so hard on yourself, bless you. Though the a/d's do help make us feel more 'normal' we can still have emotional responses to stress and trauma. Sorry you are feeling blue, just get through today for now. You have folks on here who understand and ache for you. Don't let guilt over the panic attack work against you, you are doing well, but are still entitled to slip back a bit when things are difficult.
Try and rest.

Carole that is very profound and true. So many of my problems have come from pressure from others who never see the whole picture, including doctors..........especially doctors,

It is only since I have been at home all the time with the wheeled one that I have been able to take time to think things through and prioritise.

Lovely bit of rain out there(,well it wouldn't be in here would it), making the beans and peas grow and I can't wait. The spuds have been wonderful.

There I go,still obsessed with my belly!

Just dropping with a quick hello, heading to bed early with a migraine headache, rainstorm has been threatening all day and now it's pelting down at a great rate. Our Sarah is as high as a kite this evening which means she is very noisy so I am escaping to my quiet zone.
MiniMary graduated from elementary school last evening, life is flying by. We all attended, they had an hour-long mass first (not something I am used to) before the actual ceremony, I was absolutely amazed at how (relatively) good both sarah and gareth were, their attention span is not extensive so this was a real test as to how much some things have improved with Gareth especially. His former teachers were VERY impressed with the change in him.
Off to bed,
night all.

Pleased to have been able to offer suport to you. You are doing well it just takes time, lots of it! xx Thats partly why I keep saying relax and let some things slip. Don't be presured by house work, and other people. Others have to wait for you to be ready to do things at your pace. Don;t be afraid to tell people NO.

Tinkers you are doing great , well done. The night ones are horrible, things seem worse in the dark! Try this relaxation method, when you go to bed.............
Get comfortable first
Start with your toes, tense them up as hard as you can, hold it for the count of ten, let them relax and feel the comfort there. Then do the same to your calfs, then your knees, then your thighs, then your butucks, then your stomach, your fingers, your hands, your arms, your shoulders, your neck, your eyes, your mouth, your face, your head. Go through this slowly there is no rush. Make sure you will not be disturbed. No one is watching you and you are comfortable. No noise. Practise this every night and during the day, find time!!! RELAX (not shouting, stressing). If it means leaving that pile of ironing leave it, it will wait.

Hazel stress upset worry panic goes to my stomach too. I'm still trying to use the methods I was tought by my behaviour therapist last year. Stopped taking imodium so it's hard to go to work. I plan my days out round toilets! Spare pants carried round with me, loo roll sometimes. Funny when I went to town looking for a bag to match my shoes which I took out with me in the same bag as my loo rool. The assistant who was helping me said lets look at the shoes again and went in my carrier bag! Wonder what she thought if she saw the loo roll!!! Haha

Mary how long do the kids get off school? C got any time off work with you all? How are the dogs doing? Are you pleased with the work they do, do the kids seem a little easier for you with the dogs help? Bet they have grown since you got them.

Liz hope you had a lovely holiday. Have you got back into your routine now?

Hi everyone

Well not got garden sortted ex did come and cut alot of it down. But thats it.
Housing sent me a leaflet with list of prises, to have lawn cut 5 times a year (which i dont have any grass on just weeds)hedge and bedding cut 1 a year. £5.80 A YEAR

So i will get onto one of the gardening man i phoned last week. He is £13 an hour. I soon spend that sort of money on the inside of the house.and on food.

But going to see if my son can get some of his mates over first and get it sortted with a carpet and bark alot of people told me to do that.

tinkers, I find reading myself to sleep helps a lot if I am stressed. Well done on getting through the daytime panic attacks, tell yourself if you can do it in the day you can get through the night ones as well.

Hazel I hope you got your weeds sorted. In some areas there are groups of people who help out with gardening, odd jobs etc. Social services or your local council might know if there is anything to help you in your area.

Oh my goodness it was hot today, but all is well indoors. In 2 weeks the kids will be finished school for the summer, in 3 weeks my granddaughter Em goes to Chicago to participate with her dance team in the Dance America finals, she is so excited.
I am driving myself crazy looking for some 40 year old correspondence which I KNOW I have , which contains family lore re my grandfather. If I were a single sheet of airmail paper, where would I hide????
Speaking of air mail, we are into a postal strike here, all of Canada's mail service is shut down today. Glad we have internet banking to pay bills!!
Good night all,
Mary

Hazel I wish I could pop over and help you. To kill an area of weeds, I have done several things: put a dark groundsheet/tarpaulin over the area, and hold it down; layers of newspaper over the area and wet it to hold it down(this worked so well for me that I have about 40 vegetable plants growing strongly in the new patch); my neighbour swears by the use of salt on her weeds. Anything dark and secured to the ground, which cuts out the light, will eliminate the weeds.
Good luck.

Hazel another idea, old carpet with wood chips thrown on top. This keeps weeds down. And you might get an old carpet on free cycle.

Hi everyone,

I am disabled and cant do my garden so its in a right old state

Just had a letter from housing telling me if its not sorted by 21st june ,i will have an injunction taken out on me and will have to pay legal cost and pay who ever they get into do my garden

I cant believe it housing officer knowns i cant do it myself you think they try and help in some way.

I am that worried i have just phoned my ex husband and ask him to come and do it tonight. I HATE asking him anything even tho we do get on.

Its only a very small garden but i just cant hold the grass cutter in my hand for to long.

I am going to look on freecycle and see if i can get some slabs just to put on top of weeds for now.

(((((((((HUGS))))))))to you all. Hi to the new ones on here.
