This thread has changed.
I have just said elsewhere that I used to come on here when I felt low.
Now I just get low.
I do a lot of laughing, but that does not mean that I am okay, it is just my way of coping, and always was. No matter what was happening.
I have often really needed someone to offload to, which is why Carole started this thread, but I come on sometimes and there is no one here.... for days sometimes.
so I end up staying away too. No point coming on to speak to myself... I can do that anywhere!
Oh well, Hope you are all well anyway.
Love & hugs to all,
Deanna XXX

Wondered where you were Eileen, good to see your head peeping out of that hole anyway. Don't stay away so long next time and hope you feel better soon. I think the last we heard you were off to spend time with one of your daughters and there were going to be all sorts of things happening in the streets.

Hello everyone, mea culpa for not posting for ages. Lots going on, and I have not been feeling too well, both mentally and physically, which makes me dig a deep hole, and sit in it, but not telling my nearest & dearest how I feel, would rather they didn't know, as I don't want to saddle them with my probs/thoughts.
I just want to send love to all those that really need some help with their suffering, like Caz, Colin, Deanna,Hazel and others I may not have mentioned here., and want to say I think of them, even though I haven't been on here for ages, and not even have read the posts...Sorry!
Will try get back on track a.s.a p....Love to all. Eileen

hi Hazel,

Dutch has been having the b12 jabs I think and there are some that are less painful than others so Teri should ask for those. I just had my second vit d jab, have them every 6 months and it was painless. I take Adcal twice daily as maintenance for the vit d.
It's a bit daunting to have the MS hanging over her but I expect once she has accepted the info and can just go for the scans etc half yearly, she will get on with things and hopefully forget about it between scans.

Take care, you have had a lot to cope with lately,

Hazel, I suppose at least she knows where she stands now. I hope the tablets work for her then, yes I have heard the injections can be painful. Hope she soon feels better.

Treehunter Report 5 Jul 2010 12:32

Hi

Teri went to hospital last week, told her that she will get MS at some point, But can carry on with life and she has to go for blood test every 6mts and scans to keep an eye on things.

Its the shadows on her brain that tells them she will get MS.

She is also lacking in b12 and D so on tablets with that but may have to have injections 3 times a week, inwhich are very painfull. So hoping tablets work.

I am at home now but will be going back few days a week to help until she feels alot better still very tried in afternoon. But doctor said once tablets kick in should feel better

Caitlin has her cast off as well now.

((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))to all who needs then

Mary, hope you have had time to stop and take a breath by now, poor you so much to do for so many people. How wonderful to hear Sarah say a sentence, I do hope that something is 'unlocking' for her and she will soon say more. Glad to hear too that she is able to stroke both dogs. I may have missed where you said but is/was she afraid of them?
And Gareth too, lovely to be bonding so well with his dog.

Colin sorry you are having a struggle with your diabetes, I hope you can get it stabilised again. We always remark when in US that on the news other countries don't exist. The only exception was when we flew to Atlanta and the South the day after Princess Diana was killed, that was well covered. By the way some phones work there. I have always enjoyed visiting America, most of them are very friendly towards the British. We were also there two weeks after 9/11, although in Florida, not NY. We all wore the support T shirts they were selling and they would come up to us and say how much they appreciated our support. Mind you the Floridians are a very warm people.

Hi Mary,

so glad to see that things are becoming more sorted for you all, even if you are finding ocd where you hadn't suspected it, knowing what you are up against makes things clearer and not easier to deal with but less like you are banging your head against the wall perhaps. I am so glad Joanne is helping you all, and becoming even closer to you all because of it I expect, I do hope she and your son can make a go of things.
How lovely that Sarah expressed herself so well and that her seizures are hopefully under control at last. Great that the dogs are settling and things seem to be pretty good for you all, except I bet you are still not getting the rest and peace you sometimes need. Do take care of yourself and try to make time for You as well as looking after everyone else.
We have a little lad of 3 living two doors along, his parents had trouble starting a family but as she was about to go for her second go at ivf treatment she fell pregnant naturally. Sadly the little lad had a cleft lip and palate but after an op he looks very good, but he just doesn't talk. He screeches, yelps and makes various sounds, very repetitively, which can be really annoying if I am honest, when he is out on his climbing frame and whooping over the fence. He can ride his little bike with stablisers and the parents let him ride it in the street with them watching but they don't seem to talk to him now, not much anyway whereas I would be saying push the pedals round and things like that, they just stand and watch him. I know he was getting some speech therapy but the Mum said it wasn't going to go on for much longer and he will be ready for school soon but I am not sure what will happen or where he will go. It's such a shame, they are a nice enough couple altho the chap is a bit odd, he and K never get on and K used to shout out about his constant diy noise which did go on for about a year or more, banging and sawing etc in the garden.
I do feel for them tho and hope their lad can get some help to improve his quality of life. He cries a lot as well as making the noises but sometimes you can hear him laughing so it's not all sad.

I love looking at property for sale and seeing the way other people's houses look, yes, I know I am nosey lol, but it's interesting. Sometimes I love the look of the places and sometimes I think, Oh no, couldn't live with/like that, but I have seen one house which if I win a million pdq would suit me to the ground, under £500,000 in the coastal village I love and with masses of room for visitors, of course I would have to employ a cleaner and a gardener to keep on top of it all but it's so nice to dream lol
Maybe in my next life I will have the house of my dreams lol It would be great to have room to put things away properly or to display nice things, no space here in this small house and mine was never ready to do that with the heating always needing attention.

Take care of yourselves, counselling again today so I can get things off my chest.
Hope Carole is home safely

Colin, I hope Denise enjoyed/enjoys her birthday after all.
Sorry your diabetes has become worse, I dread that happening with o.h. as he isn't eating the way he should now so if things get stricter I dread it.
Hope you and Denise can both feel lots better soon

Lovely, chatty update Mary- good to read your post and I see everything is normal as usual.
Caz, I am thinking of you. Funny that the FM seems to react to hot weather.
Hello Liz, Deanna, Eileen, Ann, Clairjo.
Joyce, yes I am OK. In a bit of a hole at present, like YCaz but with less cause.
Carole, Glad you enjoyed or are still enjoying NY.
I have not been to the US but after many years observing their behaviour on TV, film and as tourists, it seems to me that as far as Americans (US, not Canada/Mexico) the world is divided into two unequal parts. In order of importance,
The USA
Not the USA.
Our phones don't work there, their power supply is different, their TV systems is different.
I have diabetes too, but after five years of being well controlled with very little action on my part it has suddenly rocketed in the past couple of months and is in the "poorly controlled" range. At least I now have a good reason to stick to the diet. No more biscuits and cakes. Oh well, depressing but I will live. I might even lose some weight.
Denise has been up and down, but nothing they can put a finger on. She has a birthday this week and doesn't want to be reminded. Too late.
xx Colin

My apologies, things have been crazy here, my son's g/f Joanne, whom we love, came down last week to assist Colleen with making sense of her flat. We have conquered toy mountain I think, but if we leave the items visible C keeps re-sorting them and keeping more. I never stopped to think my daughter is a hoarder but now I am positive. My son has recently been diagnosed with OCD on top of the ADD, and trying to make sense of his life. Some things have come out which distressed me no end but my son seems so much better now that he has opened up.
We haven't stopped for air in the past 6 days, I am really tired.
Now here is something which absolutely blew my socks off - our sarah who chats all the time but doesn't make conversation, just recites the words of songs and books, was sitting on her bed when her Mum was debating about throwing things away, and Sarah suddenly announced "this is a mess".
Out of the mouths of babes . . . her mother has been much more motivated since that brief statement. The child with autism IS IN THERE, we just have to find the key . . . .
The dogs are working out VERY well, once I get de-tangled from the leads. Gareth and Dudley are bonding and Sarah at long last is stroking both dogs.
Best news is that she has been on the new form of her med for a week and NO seizures. She is bright and cheerful, which helps everyone's mood.
I am so grateful that Joanne takes us as we are, seems she and my son have decided to deal with their issues, commit to their future, but no wedding at present. She has her own issues with family and chronic pain, so has great understanding of our chaotic household.

I just had an email with realtor photos from an old friend, they are selling their house, what a palace, an advertisement perhaps for Better Homes and Gardens, certainly not a place one can relax in. I am not the slightest bit envious, it is MUCH too formal for me, from all the photos I can't see one corner where one could relax and put up one's feet. No thank you. of course they have a maid and a gardener . . . My family just have me.
Such is life, and to think I was once jealous of them. I have finally gorwn up I suppose.
Hugs all round, thanks for noticing my absence!!
Carole I'm sorry I didn't get to chat with you.

Shame you couldn't go and shake o.h.'s scrounging son Carole, tell him there isn't enough money for him to bring his wife and to think himself lucky people are clubbing together to pay his fare so he can be best man, and have some spending money!
Hope you have had a good holiday, I should think it's been a bit hot - couldn't bear a city holiday in this heat, I like the beach and access to fresh air.

Have a safe trip home

OK but if I fall over it is your fault Deanna. I had a nasty fall when washing my hair on Wednesday, I put the towel on my hair but it was too far over and covered my eyes, that was it my balance went and I fell into the bath and hit my head on the grab rail on far wall. I sat on the loo telling myself it didn't hurt, didn't hurt, oh h**l it hurts. Pursuaded warden not to call paramedics as I was OK.
I haven't been on for a while because of the usual, the pain of FM is awful just now, I wonder if the hot weather affects it? Plus I have been in my black hole again but climbing out of it now.
I have got to read backwards as I haven't seen any of the messages yet and not had computer on much lately except for pms.
Hope everyone is doing as well as they can be, and you are coping with this heat, I can't take it, was ill last week with it, really wish my fridge was big enough to sit in.

Love and hugs to all.
