I picked that up and put it down again yesterday Sarah as well. There is no excuse for it is there? If it is because of all the freebies I would rather just have the magazine than pay extra for 'freebies'.

SarahSalopianScrapper Report 17 Mar 2010 18:29

Agree with you totally Ann, it's rare that I buy a magazine because of a freebie but the price does make a difference. I will admit I only picked it up to see what the freebie was, it stood out being in a box rather than a bag, and wasn't very impressed with it anyway.

I have decided to stop buying the magazines for a while.... they seem to be virtually all adverts... and where they have templates for the ideas, similar can be found by googling..... I spent a small fortune the other week... couldn't believe it when I got to the till!! I would rather spend the money on, say Martha wotsits punches... now they are really lovely!!

Gardening is taking over my life and my energies at the moment...... but hey.... it'll give me something to scrap on those wet summer days, lololol ;¬))

You wont stay away from the scrap book for long Daff. strangely for all the magazines I buy (lots) I rarely buy gardening magazines. I do get annoyed because there are lots of card making magazines and only one scrap book one.

lol Ann.... I am hoping it starts to rain, soon.... I need a break from the garden and seed planting, but feel as though I must carry on if the weather is ok.... but I am aching a bit today... good aching, but aching, none the less... and craft work is a sitty-down task, lol.....

We'll see, I have to swear at the kitchen a bit first.... lol

I believe rain is forecast for the weekend. I need to get myself sorted out regarding the garden, finding the bag of seeds I bought in the autumn would be a start.

AnninGlos Report 18 Mar 2010 14:39

I have been instructed by the gardener not to plant my seeds until after the weekend as apparently we are expecting heavy rain which will do the seeds no good but will be good for the compost. So i am sitting here while himself renovates the garden furniture. we were in town this morning, offloaded another pile of books to the charity shop and spent £20 of M&S vouchers and they had a sale on!! (Oh I added a little bit extra to the vouchers!)

Had brunch in Wetherspoons at 11.45, vegie breakfast which I prefer to the meat one and COFFEE, no wine today feel very virtuous. Place was heaving, I think we have more Irish in Gloucestershire than Ireland!!!

I found the seeds in the garage so now need to study the packets and decide what is going where.

Have made a batch of easter cards today. I really want to do some scrapping but I also want to get as many cards as possible made so when i put all the stuff away there is less - I think that makes sense! What I think I am going to do is make a list of cards I am going to need for the next few months for birthdays etc and get those made out of the way, any random ones that come along while I'm making those can go in my box to sell. Am also considering a furniture move around in my craft room, I've seen a gorgeous desk/craft station I would love but need to convince OH that the price is justified - it will make me tidier honest! LOL

Jean I went in that shop last year when we went to Llandudno for the day for the transport show. Didn't buy anything because it was rammed and OH was patiently, not, waiting outside.

Have finished my tidy up and blogged the photos in the hope it will inspire me to keep it like this LOL

JustJean Report 21 Mar 2010 12:22

Sarah, my oh is just the same, but I only bought a few bits, we go usually when its early in the year, and also at the latter end .... so its never too busy, although I have just been on their craft site and ordered some stuff, ,I couldnt believe the postage was only £1..I had about £ 15 worth so that was good, I also noticed the prices are the same as in the shop. lots of stuff £1 and lower...now I must get using all the craft goodies I keep buying.....lol.....

We do tend to be collectors of stuff and forget to use it sometimes don't we?? I will look out for the site Jean, looks good. can't see how they can do postage for a pound.

JustJean

JustJean Report 21 Mar 2010 15:21

Ann, Had a look at the invoice , My sale was £6.55+ £1.00 pp , I had bought off another site £15 worth pp was £6.95, I think Craftland is cheaper postage wise....Have you seen flexi peel-offs, it showed them on create and craft. I ordered some.easy to put round oval and round shapes.....

I am going to be sorely in need of a treat later today... two jobs I hate, the hairdresser at 11, and the physio at 1... so a detour on the way home to Dunelm via Hobbycraft will soothe my ruffled feathers, lolol

I want some more punches... I have put the inks and stamps away until I have figured out how to use them. I have suggested that an anniversary gift like erm.... that die cutter might.... be very welcome, too......... lets see if R realises that was a hint a mile high!! The fact that I have the name of it (can't remember at the moment) pinned to the fridge door....... do you reckon he'll *get it* lolol

See you all later, must go and dig out some sporty type comfy stuff for later. Last minute Annie, me, lol
