I am helping my wife search for her birth mother. We have my some of my wife's adoption details. Her mother’s name is Ann S Murray born approx. 1940 near Durham/Newcastle upon Tyne area. We are just looking for some advice on how to find out more information. We have discovered some records exist in Newcastle General Hospital but they have initially refused to release any details. Any help would be appreciated in tracking her or her family. |

Unusual, but there was only 1 Ann S Murray born between 1935-45, so long as you have the right spelling. Although there was also an Anne S Murray born in the same timeframe - so could have been either of them. I thought there would have been more possibles, as Murray is not an uncommon name. |

Does that full name come from your wife's birth certificate or from elsewhere? |

That's a lot of surnames in her name. Were any of these hyphenated? |

I think Rose is onto something there - 1939 birth is on Scotland's people. But miss off the Lloyd part to find it. |
