There are lots of marriage in Birmingham for both of the girls names.......so unless you know who they married, it might be a struggle to pin point them.

I only posted this request yesterday and am absolutely stunned by the speed of the replies and thank you very much.
In 1939 my parents came back from India (RAF) and we all went to Birmingham to see my fathers family and my sister and I were bridesmaids at -- now I see when he married --my Uncle George's wedding, and I'm pretty sure her name was Lily. So that bit of the jigsaw is filled in. I don't think I ever met their daughters.
I also believe you have found for me the date of his wife's death and also details of his second marriage. At least I now have a second initial for each of my cousins!
If I put all that on my family tree someone might get in touch with me.

You could also do a search of members trees to see if any other members have any of these people in their trees.
