Not sure why you don't want to mention her surname?

Have you looked for any marriage for her? It's free here

Thank you for your reply and comments. Being new here, I’m learning as I go.
At this stage it is probably wiser for me not to quote the surname, but I will certainly use it as a tool to investigate the relevance it has in other trees.

If you know her surname at birth, then see if she is in anyone's tree on here.

It is highly unlikely that anyone reading this will recognise her, unfortunately (very few people read these boards), you have to go out and try and find her.

With her surname we could try and trace her(unless it is a very common surname).
Could you give it?

If you know her surname, you could try Friends Reunited, which has school and workplace sections, and street searches.

This site is really for locating relations. FR is better for friends.

Are you the Margaret that I met in 1964, 50 years ago? I was 25 and you were about the same age.

You worked as a clerk in the purchasing department at Warwick Savage or another large printing works in Stoke-on-Trent.
You lived in Sneyd Green and had gone to school at either Brown Hills High School or St Dominic's.

We became good friends, enjoying dancing at the Top Rank in Hanley and the jazz music of the Ceramic City Stompers at the Crown and Anchor in Longton, on Tuesday and Sunday evenings.
Then we were separated by circumstance, but a long overdue greeting may bring a smile.
