A brand-new documentary series is looking to hear from people who have lost touch with loved ones, and have managed to track them down, either independently or with the help of specialist agencies. Each programme will follow the process and detective work used by families and agencies as they hunt for lost relatives, and the cameras will be there to capture the moment as the two sides are reunited or meet each other for the very first time.

If your hard work and dedication to unlocking your family secrets is finally paying off, get in touch!

I find this rather confusing. Surely if you "have managed to track them down, either independently or with the help of specialist agencies" you have already reached the point of making contact and are unlikely to want to wait while a tv crew films the process you have already undertaken?

Seems like a cheap way of providing 'entertainment'

Get the participants to do it all................then turn up with a camera

It now transpires that the above message was copied from GR's FACEBOOK page

Been on the Announcements page since march...unless this is different??

We’re looking for people who have been reunited with long lost relatives through research undertaken on our sites (Genes Reunited, Findmypast, the British Newspaper Archive) to feature in a primetime BBC TV program and (separately) an article for a leading women’s lifestyle magazine.

For the magazine we are looking for a woman aged 35 to 70 (UK based) who has met up with a long lost relative abroad or in the UK within the last few years. The piece will involve a phone interview, as well as a photo shoot in London in the next few weeks or so. The magazine will cover travel expenses and provide hair styling, make up, wardrobe and lunch.

For the BBC TV show we are looking for someone who has found a long lost relative through research on our site. They, and preferably their relative, will be available for filming on the 18th May.

If you’d like more information about either opportunity, please email [email protected]. Please share!

Jax this is for a new tv show called Family Finders.

I don't know why GR state that they're looking for "looking to hear from people who have lost touch with loved ones, and have managed to track them down, either independently or with the help of specialist agencies" as the programme is employing Chalfont Research.
