Seeking adopted sibling (Brother)

My adopted Brother was born in the registration district of Don Valley on the 20th of April 1958 His birth parents lived in South Drive Bolton upon Dearne, his Birth name was Huw Michael Young, I am his brother Frederick.
I would love to find out how he is, and where he now lives, if anyone can help I would be truly grateful, I have tried to find him via an agency and they actually located him but have not been able to contact him directly, so I know he's out there somewhere.

Are you on the national adoption contact register?

Of course his name was changed, Yvonne..........he was adopted

I have all the details of his birth, and obviously he would have been given his adoptive name.
I have been on the national adoption register for years.
If he still does not know he's adopted he's not going to look there.

Can you contact the agency who you dealt with and see if any change of circumstances since they can now procede for contact.?

I have been in contact and they tell me they have written to the adoptive mother but had no response, to be honest I have lost faith with Afteradoption the agency dealing with it, once they get your money I don't think they work terribly hard to come to a conclusion.

Why would they write to the adoptive mother,did they give you a vaild reason why they took this route?.

I asked them that and they told me they did not have an address for my brother only his adoptive mother and as she is quite elderly they have not pushed it, I was told he had brothers and sisters and that in the event they could approach those for information, it seems they are reluctant to contact my brother for some reason maybe he does not know he's adopted, I don't know.

Problem is they will not give out information to which they are privileged so I am as wise now as I was when I started my search, well thats not quite true I know a little more.
