No, that Margaret was 90 when she died.

Hi Wilma,,,,,It would be impossble to know full birth details from Scotland birth indexes as they dont give a maiden name agaisnt a birth unlike England /Wales ,although it can be narrowed down to areas,without buying all or any certificates that may or may not be any relation,it would prove costly as its £12 per issue of a certificate,,,,,,alone from 1942 to 1945 there are over 200 Cowan registered births.......

Has he tried Scotlands Birthlink (adoptions) to see if anyone is seeking contact with the same family as your husband.

My Husband,Thomas Cowan recently found he probably has a sister. He was born in Edinburgh 1942 to Margaret. Name of sister unknown, but may be born between 1942 and 1945 , also in Edinburgh . Would like any info please.
