Find Living Relatives

Hello all I am looking for my Aunty Jean Button i did find her a couple of years ago 'I found her and her and my cousin Kevin came out to meat the NZ family she hadn't seen her brother for over forty years so lovely finally meeting them I have since lost there address and phone numbers I cant ask my father as we have problems with each other after my parents divorce Jean married Percy they had 3 children Denise Kevin cant remember the other girls name grand daughter Sophie she goes to the Church of England church um what else can i remember I hope someone can help me please Christmas is coming and i would like to contact

Well Vanessa ... some idea of where that church ... and your aunt and cousins ... might be would be a good start. We are assuming England? any particular part?

Jean's surname before she married ... maybe your grandparents' names so we can be sure we are finding the right Jean eventually (by matching your grandparents' surnames to her birth record) ...

to find people, one has to know as much as possible about them to start (without violating their privacy - no family skeletons! :-) and no exact birthdates and the like)

have a look at your post through a stranger's eyes and you'll see the kind of questions someone might have

you're not a total newbie to the boards so you must have an idea of how searching for somebody goes!

To give you an idea, one website shows 36 Jean Buttons on the electoral roll, many over 60 ... now many of them will be duplicates, but that still leaves some to choose from

none is living with a Percy Button ... and you would be amazed at how many Percy Button death records there are! so knowing just his name doesn't help unfortunately

for possible marriages, might her surname start with an N or an A?

so an idea of where to look will be a good start, and especially Jean's birth name.

thank you for this help Jeans birth name was Atkinson Percy died I think at one time she lived on london road which i believe is a very long road yes you are correct I arent a newbie but i have had a stroke a couple of years ago and am attempting to get back into this website its taken me awhile to find my way around it again

I had spotted the marriage after I posted but wasn't awake enough to go hunting then ... :-)
