I see the birth of your siblings William and Patricia- but due to their age they would not show on the historical electoral registers(which I have until 1965).

By 1965 Charles and Kathleen have moved and are living at 14 Waldrons Moor, Hall Green.

Hi AustinQ this is spot on.Are the names William Fletcher and Patricia Fletcher among those names? These are both twins,my brother and sister and were born in 1949,Patricia died early 1950.Can you please tell me what the E stands for in Doris E please?

As Doris remarried too, I suspect it is the correct family.

I've sent a private message expanding on some of the information above, and included a possible address for Valerie's half brother (from her mother's second marriage).

There's a 1940 marriage in Birmingham Charles Fletcher to Doris E and a possible daughter Valerie born 1942.

Doris E remarried in 1948. She had more children with her partner- one at least, is listed on the current electoral register. There is a possible death for Doris in 1980 Birmingham.

Looking at the electoral registers a Kathleen T Fletcher and Charles Fletcher were living at 4 back 111 (also registered as Walford Place) Upper Highgate Street from 1950 until 1962. Before 1950 there are other Fletchers listed at the same address (but no Charles).

Looking at the records, the Charles Fletcher living at Upper Highgate Street from 1950 to 1962 was born in 1921 (possibly end of 1920 as birth was registered first quarter of 1921)- the son of Laura Rebecca Cowen and William Edward Fletcher.

Was Charles married to Valerie's mother?

so possibly not the Charles C I posted... though it could be.

Do you have Charles' birth cert to confirm whether there was a middle initial Sue?
