Michele, obviously I do not know how much knowledge you have. So apologies if you have this already!

With fairly common names, it can sometimes be easier to look for a close family member whose name is more unusual. If you go here, you can see a possible birth for Margaret in Bedwellty 1937.

If it is correct, using the mother's maiden name, you can see there are 4 siblings. One has the 1st name Bernard.

There is a Bernard Mead living Gwent up till 2013 on 192.com. He is also listed on the free electoral roll:

I see they were born Bedwellty. I therefore guess this is likely to be their parents marriage. It gives you a middle initial for Margaret, which might help a bit:

Marriages Mar 1956 (>99%)
Baker William J J Mead Bedwellty 8c 301
Mead Margaret E Baker Bedwellty 8c 301

Searching for these 2 sisters, born 1961 and 1962 to William and Margaret Baker (nee Mead). Blaenau Gwent ties. They lived in New Zealand briefly as children until the passing of William. It is believed that they returned with their mother to Wales soon after.
