Hi all,
I'm searching for a woman called Annie Bradley or any living decendants, she was 32 in the January of 1957. So she would have been born around 1924/5. The last known address that I have been able to find is Barnsdale Crescent , Northfield, Birmingham. I have found out that she was Irish but that is everything I have been able to find. These are long lost relatives on my fathers side and he passed in 1999, finding family would be great.
I have found an obituary for a Annie Bowater nee Bradley who passed in 2014 aged 90, in the Teeside area but again not sure if this is connected or just a fluke.
Thanks in advance Denise.

Welcome to the boards, Denise.

How do you know Annie was 32 in 1957?

You could buy a copy of the marriage cert for the Annie who died in 2014, and see who her parents and the witnesses were:

Marriages Sep 1950 (>99%)
BOWATER Norman BRADLEY Middlesbro'
Bradley Annie Bowater Middlesboro'. 1b 1893

Sadly, she wasn't married for long:

Norman Bowater
in the England & Wales, Death Index, 1916-2007
Name: Norman Bowater
Birth Date: abt 1923
Date of Registration: Sep 1959
Age at Death: 36
Registration district: Middlesbrough
Inferred County: Yorkshire North Riding
Volume: 1b
Page: 569

Probate:
Norman Bowater, of 3 Melsonby Avenue, Park End, Middlesbrough, who died 11 July 1959 at North Ormesby Hospital, Middlesbrough. Administration, Durham, 1 December, to Annie Bowater, widow. Effects £986 18s 9d.

They may have had children -
if you search on freebmd.org.uk, you'll see there were three Bowater / Bradley births 1950-59 in Middlesbrough.
Also one in Staffordshire, which may or may not be relevant.

Actually, no -
that can't be your Annie, if yours was still named Bradley in 1957.

There are two marriages for an Annie Bradley in Birmingham 1957, if you think she may have married there?

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 7 May 2016 17:57

There were two Annie Bradley marriages in Birmingham in 1957. One of the Annies had middle initial K.

You can find them on freebmd.
If you click on the page number, it will show you the husband's name.

Annie K had a daughter born Birmingham 1958, whose first name might perhaps suggest Irish ancestry.

She married in Staffordshire in 1979.

Two children of the marriage were born in Solihull, Staffs, 1985 and 1988.

Annie K's daughter was still living in Solihull in 2011

I'll PM you the address, in case you want to try to contact her to ask if her mother was your Annie.
She may still be at the same address.

Thanks ArgyllGran, the entry in Staffordshire is the one I'm looking for.
Was barking up the wrong tree with Bowater,.
Not sure how to move forward with this though. Can't get any more info on Annie Bradley.

Assuming it was Annie's daughter's address which RR sent you, I've also PM'd Annie's and husband's address, at least in 2014.
