I am helping a friend look for descendants of John Morozov, b. 1865, Russia, specifically information on his children Leslie Paul, b. Dec. 1894, Hendon, Pateline(Pauline), b. 1900, Hendon and Emily Elizabeth, b. 1901, Hendon
John's wife was Emily, who was, I believe, born in Stepney.
Thank you in advance
Sandra

so looks possible mother Emily died in childbirth or shortly after.

Not picking up a death for John, or anything on Leslie. Possibly they anglicized their suname?

How is your friend related to John Morozoff - do they know of any surname changes?

Also, did any known descendants move to different countries?

Thanks

As there appears to be only one child for Vera Morozoff in 1931, wondered if this is Vera's death as is the same area?
Deaths March quarter 1932
Harris Vera M age 38 Maldon 4a 992

However, the request was :
''specifically information on his children Leslie Paul, b. Dec. 1894, Hendon, Pateline(Pauline), b. 1900, Hendon and Emily Elizabeth, b. 1901, Hendon''

so wonder if the friend already knows about Vera.

Hi patchem
Yes, my friend knows about Vera. She also knows that some of the Morozoff family moved to Belgium c.1904. It is specifically the named family members she cannot trace. It now appears that some of the family changed their surnames, so it is quite possible that the "missing" ones did also, especially Leslie Paul. The females may have done so and if married later, may have used new surnames, so all-in-all, I think I'll call "Time" on this puzzle!

Just for ref I tried searches for Leslie P , with no surname and found nothing that I couldn't discount ( looked also for the likely alternatives of name, Morris etc) so my guess is that he is the one who went to Belgium.

patchem Report 28 Jun 2016 11:59

Similarly, I tried to find family without surnames etc in 1911 and later, but nothing.

Would have been useful to know about Belgium.

Could be Morris, but could have been something quite different, as have a friend with a grandfather with a totally different surname to original (apart from the initial letter).
