Find Living Relatives

Trying to trace relatives in Scotland of my late Gran, she died in Dunoon in 2000 then named Margaret Kennedy Robertson Stocks. She was married to a Kenneth Stocks then but was married to my grandfather with her name being Margaret Kurzynoga.
She had a sister or maybe 2 ? Elizabeth ? or Catherine ? lots of relatives of mine lived in Glasgow but unfortunately I only remember their first names, Frank, Betsy, Aunt Cathy & Uncle Eddie. There was a James and Diane.
My mum was Sylvia born 1953 in Leeds and I was born Simone Gilmour born 1973 in Leeds.

Her death - it was also registered under the surname STOCKS and what I presume is her maiden name - FLANNIGAN .
There is no room for the Y of Kennedy on the results page!

There is 1 birth showing in 1957 with the surname Kurzynoga in the Bridgeton RD Scotland.

Margaret Flannigan married first to Kurzynoga in Leeds 1952.

Margaret Kurzynoga remarried to Kenneth Stocks Leeds 1972 (?? Mr Kurzynoga may have also remarried in Leeds 1972)

Unless you know her parents names already, then buying the certificate should give you both of their names and you can then check for the marriage of the parents.

Unfortunately Scotland's people doesn't allow a search for births using the mother's maiden name, so it would need a lot of certificates to find the right Flannagins. The births of Margaret and her siblings are less than 100 years ago so you would have to buy the certificates. Over 100 years and you can get them on the website to view and download.

You might be able to narrow the possibilities down i.e. post parents marriage to around 45 years of age of the Mum (age at marriage will be on certificate) and in the RD's of the their marriage and birth of Margaret for starters.

Margaret's death certificate should also name her parents, if known to the person who registered the death.
