Since that thread at rootschat was last active a month ago, I'll add this here

The 1939 register entry that could not be found there shows Horace's wife and daughter (the daughter died in 1954 in childbirth) plus two closed records (children too young to be disclosed)

Margaret A Stone 1932 Peterborough M.B. Northamptonshire

Horace is apparently not with them in September 1939, and even a search by his birthdate 15/9/1907 doesn't find him.


the two deaths

Evelyn Florence M Stone born 22 May 1917 died Jan 1999 Yeovil Somerset

suggest that Evelyn (second wife) relocated in the 15 years between Horace's death and her death

possibly to be near a child?

Her daughter with Horace would make most sense, as David was her stepson.

Reading through it, it looks as if David was perhaps born 1939 in Peterborough.
Middle initial also D.

there are so many david stone's in cornwall does he have a middle name when was he born

Have you any idea when David was born? Living in Cornwall may not mean he was born there, unless you know differently?
There's always the possibility that he has moved out of County since then

hello , I am trying to find a cousin who lived in Rock Cornwall David Stone, his fathers name was Horace, I am trying for my sister June who visited them in the early 50s, we are going to Cornwall in July so would love to find David before we go , fingers crossed Regards Carol.
