John Report 7 Aug 2024 17:33

Hi just wondering if there's anything out there on my grandad and dad who both served.

Grandad was John Walter Walsh from Accrington who was in the Royal Medical Corps in the First World War. I believe he returned to the RMC in the Second World War.
Dad was Allan Walsh, born in Maryport, Cumberland, and was in the 7th Hussars in North Africa and was wounded in November 1941 at the Battle of Sidi Rezegh. He was the gunner for the Squadron Leader Ralph Younger. He recuperated from his wounds in Egypt and South Africa before coming home, his war over.
