My Great Uncle William James Youngs served in the Essex Regiment during WW1. He fought on the Somme but unfortunately was killed on either 15th or 16th October 1916 and has no known grave although he is remembered at the Thripveal Memorial. He was 21 years if age at the time of his death. |
