Sue you click on one of the faces below ;-) the one with the wink shows as ;-) semi-colon dash bracket - but when you submit it gives you the face

Easy peasy

Yes it does also work if you type in semi-colon dash bracket as I just tried it

Hi Everyone

We have water restrictions too Sylvia same time of the year as you guys by the looks.

It poured down with rain last night but no thunder and lightning with it and the wind was not with it ...I really hate the wind .

I still can'get this icon thingy to work for me ,I did try to copy and paste but it would not do it .
Can you all tell me how?.

On our news today the sad story of a young boy 12 who has been missing for three months, they just found a body not far from his home and they think it is him we have all been hoping he had ran away or something similar but it looks like he has met with fowl play or an accident of some kind.

So many kids dying in accidents these days especially car crashes,I don't know what they are all thinking of ..
So young ..no life has been lived.

The tornadoes in the Us are all over our TV's too,it is going to take a long time for them to get back on there feet ,I really feel for them.

Cold and wet still so I am going to light the fire early today.

Check in later.

Well that cost me £25 for a new battery - and it may be an alternator problem - so the car is off to the garage on Friday. So we may end up taking the other car away to the inlaws at the wekend

These things are sent to try us :-)

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 1 Jun 2011 15:15

:-P well I tried it too no go at all

Josie what a situation to be in - I am so sorry to hear your news

Hope the move goes well and the job hunt.

Will pop back in again later - waiting for the AA man to come & sort my car out - think it needs a new battery. It went thunk this morning.

I went to London Yesterday evening - had a freebie trip - we went to see a private screening of X-Men the prequal - before anyone else in the Uk - WOW what a film amazing - I want to see it again now -
Feeling very tired as had a bad night on Sunday (got up at 3am) - worked from 7am & got home at midnight - up again at 5am this morning - car wouldn't start in work by 7am just and left for half day at 1.

Its all go here

Take care all (AA man has arrived)

:-0 :-) <3 they do work (look strange when you hit the key but great afterwards :-S :-P

Hi Everyone

One big storm last night and we had a load of rain with it,that should put some water in the Perth catchment areas for next year .

They have just put a ban on sprinklers over winter ,you would be shocked at the amount of people who put sprinklers on over winter ...such a waste of water.

Josie I sympathise with you on moving I hate it ,I think that is why we stay in a house so long ,it takes dynamite to get me out .
The OH would have me selling and building every 5 years if I let him have his way.

Robert I think you are right we should not worry about age after all it is only a number and I don't feel my age at all.
I shall keep riding my bike until I can't anymore.

Better get dinner on ,will try to do the Icon thingy...NO can't do it someone please enlighten me.

Belated Birthday Greetings Cynthia.

Dear Ven Robert, do keep warm and don't wear' your Kilt ' in the Highlands as Caves can be very draughty.

Have only popped in briefly to take a break from Packing, Our Landlord decided to sell the house we rent ,
so have had no option but to move out,
we have found another house about a 20 minute drive from where we currently live.
and with the help of family and friends will be moving in on the 10th of June. So am franticly cleaning and packing as well as trying to find a job so am somewhat stressed out at the moment.

May not get a chance to pop in for a few weeks. So do take care everyone.
Josie ;-)

Thank you for your birthday wishes kind friends and, I can assure you Frank, the stone will be no more than an ounce :) No big party, just a usual Sunday with a takeaway at night.....no cooking....bliss!

Well, I know when Sylvia's birthday is and Robert's too but I'll let them add them themselves - just in case they are feeling coy. Sylvia has a busy couple of days ahead so don't know how much she will be around.

Sue, I have a friend who is that sort of internet whizz - it's his job. He once checked my computer from his house and I sat and watched him checking things over for me. The cursor was all over the place! He only charges me for any parts - new battery etc. Very handy to have a computer ace amongst one's friends.......lol

Anne, you'll probably be getting calls today because the weather isn't good....folk aren't going out far so they will ring you instead!

Very grey and damp........

Love to all. Cx.

Robert

Feel free to add yours to the list - I can then pop them on the calendar

Very misty here today - dampening everything down - only in the office till 1pm - good grief had a call already 7:15 - hope thats not how the day is going to carry on - aaagh 2 calls 7:17 this is not good on a bank holiday.

I should be going to London tomorrow afternoon as we are going to a preview screening of X-Men at a posh hotel with champagne & canapes - only problem is its a late night - i am sure I will nod off around 8:30 as it seems to be about the normal time for me - we won't get home much before midnight and I am in work at 7am on the Wednesday - I have already booked a half day as i know i will be useless in the afternoon - with around 4 hours sleep to show for it. I have had less and still managed to do a full day.

Why do i set myself up for theses things.

Will try & pop in again later

Take care all

Hi Everyone

Frank thank you for letting me know you could do it for free.

Glad your Mother in Law managed to not get ripped off,Son in Laws are very handy at times ...mine is s gem always willing to help.

I am a bit scared of messing with it myself,he still forgot to put spellcheck for my emails.
We did that this morning while he was still in his workshop ,I just gave him my computer over the Internet ,it was amazing to watch my computer being worked on with our me touching it.

I did not come on last night as we had some bad storms with the much needed rain,I got a ticking off from my brother,,,I got him to download Skype and he sat there all night waiting for me to come on ,he eventually phoned me .

Cynthia

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
So sorry we did not remember

Annes right we should do a reminder for everyone's birthday.

It is still rain here but I don't mind as I am baking today ,nice and warm inside.

Back to the cooker.

Ooohh Cynthia,

Happy birthday and here's hoping Sylvia's memory is so bad that she forgets where she left her trusty rolling pin. :P

I'm sure you can manage that extra stone quite easily..................

Susan, I wish you were closer as I could have saved you a fortune. Clearing out my computer to year zero and reinstalling all of the software probably took me four hours maximum and half of that was just leaving the computer on to download. I am horrified that you should be charged that sort of money.

A bit like my mother-in-law who's boiler packed in and was advised by a Scottish Gas engineer that it would cost £3000+ to replace. Well my son-in-law put her in touch with a local engineer who advised that he could do it for £1500 so she contacted Scottish Gas to let them know.
Surprise, surprise they popped up with an offer of total system replacement including radiators and loft insulation under a government grant scheme for the over 75s.................. :S

Problem solved. :D

We all need a good party again

By the way - my OH was on his own yesterday doing family history and listening to the radiio - Bohemian Rhapsody came on - and the volume went to the highest point - i think the neighbours knew i was out - bless him he was enjoying himself.

see you all tomorrow
