The one thing I do note from all that is

Patricia...Evelyn and a Kathleen all lived at Dafforne road where Ev was born....All are her names too..!

Well done Vicci on that find...Tuts Woody...But I know what you mean about missing stuff when crackered..:D

Digestion of more stuff to be done.

Oh yes..That Robert Macleod I did lots of work on but now can not remember why I discounted him...But I know I did..

Will have to sit and study all the thread again as I have forgotten a fair bit now as it was some time back ...!!!

Has anyone been able to look through these at Kew?
What records can I find at The National Archives at Kew?
Records of the General Nursing Council for England and Wales (c1860-1984) For rolls and registers of nurses maintained by the General Nursing Council consult:
the printed nominal indexes in DT 10/1-56 to locate records in DT 10 (1921-1973)
the printed nominal indexes in DT 11/1-9 to locate records in DT 11 (1944-1973)
DT 12 (1973-1983) - the records in DT 12/24-26 are not on a readable format
Although the Register in DT 10 was opened in 1921 it includes details of nurses who had qualified previous to this.

I started to look at the Nursing records at Kew but it's a major exercise and I haven't got the time.

Hi.......didn't we discover at some point, that there was no information on DLM from those records. Have a feeling that Fans checked by phone. I'll give her a shout and see if she can remember.

Probably get a slap for disturbing her too........ :-(

Pretty sure you are right Cynthia. Also, there is nothing to suggest that Diane was a trained nurse. She could just have been an auxilliary.

I've checked with herself - who, apparently - is a bit poorly at the moment. Just looking for sympathy probably but knows she won't get any from me.... ;-) ;-)

Yes, she did all the checking about Diane's time at the Springfield and there was nothing apart from the barest details - name etc. :-(

Thanks Quoy - will take a look.

Don't know about the rest of you, but each time I come on here I have to rack my brains to remember who is who with this search. :-S

Happy Christmas Evelyn.
We have to find her PDQ because I think quite q few of us won´t be renewing when our subs run out thanks to Genes subscription hike.
I´m sure we will all carry on looking until our subs run out, & many will renew regardless.
Happy New Year. Do hope you find her in 2013.
