Don´t think it was Isobel Leslie b 1905.
There are a couple of trees on Ancestry showing that she died in Canada. :-| :-| :-| :-|

I had seen that wisechild and, like you, it raised a query ...... then a senior moment kicked in and I was sidetracked.

Will contact the oracle and go find that thread again.

Thanks..... :-D

Looks promising Jan.
Unfortunately I don´t have access to Scotland 1911.
Will take a quick look for Helen in 1901.

Anyone else noticed this on Living Relatives??
Looking for Isobel Leslie
Poss. born around 1905 Banff Scotland.
Came in from Canada 28.10. 1933
On ER Wandsworth 1936 & poss 1956.
Believed to have worked at Swandean Hospital, Worthing & Hendon Isolation Hospital around 1945/6.
Sorry, haven´t time to check it out myself.
Perhaps someone could have a look.
Am thinking she could be a relative ?aunt of Diane.

Could be any of the above Julie!!!

We can rule out Springfield Hospital - that's been ruled out, as has Dafforne Road and another that I can't think of.

I think it's either going to be she registered under a different name or she chose not to register. :-S :-S

I had a really good look around the electoral registers when they first came online hoping I would find Diane pre marriage in 1927/28 but no such luck! What I did find was Patrick Macleod and Norah living in Foulser Rd at the same time as the Goddard Fenwicks. They lived exactly opposite them! Been a bit sidetracked by family stuff recently but will try and come back tomorrow to put this in context.

Love to Evelyn x

Julie

Edit: Diane was working at Springfield Hospital June 1927 to June 1928 so why can't I find her on the electoral register?

The area she lived in hasn't been transcribed yet?
Her name has been mistranscribed?
She registered under a different name?
She chose not to register?
She wasn't yet 21(so not born 1906 but later)?

Hi Jan, thanks for the good idea.

I have had a look and found that Evelyn G-F lived in Foulser Road during the 20's and moved to Dafforne Rd. in the 30's. I had hope she may have had a lodger........ :-D :-D Nope. Her sister lived with her for a while and then seemed to move to Dafforne before Evelyn did.

I now need to back track and remind myself of some of the names on here!

Must get in touch with Evelyn too to see how things are going.........

Thanks again. Cx.

Hello Everyone,
Just popped in to say hearty thanks for all your kind thoughts.
I am coping O K at the moment and getting things sorted but life is very hard after all those years together, made more difficult as I have no blood relatives on the island. At the moment my daughter is here for a few days but goes back to Buckinghamshire on Friday, gosh I will miss her.
Much love to you all my friends <3 <3 <3

Tabitha Report 27 Dec 2011 16:53

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke my heart to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of me went with you
The day God called you home
