Find Ancestors

Yes Jan...Evelyns Godmother has been well and truly followed up by me and got nowhere with it.....
It is all buried somewhere on this thread...I think...Although I did do some by email and even phoned some of her (godmothers)remaining young relatives who just happen coincidentaly to live about 5 miles from me and therefore easy to find...But again..Nowhere did I get..

I am now going to spend some time in the garden as it is rather in need of it to be spruced up and the sun has got its hat on here,so an ideal day to do it and let Diane roll round my mind some more...Blinkin woman lives in the cupboard at the back of it I think..!

has your godmother's details been found as you say she might have been with your mother at sometime.

Well my lovely friends here we are another day and still no sign of Diane.
I just wish I could think of another direction to take that might lead us to her.
I wonder how she knew my godmother,perhaps they went to school together or worked together I just dont know. I dont remember my godmother at all, I only know her name( rather an unusual one)

Me too Sylvia, but it seems Diane remains hidden.
I wonder if that was her real name or just something she assumed for some reason.
Tracing her is becomming almost impossible

And to LadyAugusta for her extremely kind donation of so many credits for SP to the cause.....
I still have plenty left but dont want to waste them,hence waiting for a reply to my email..

Now waiting for a reply from SP about overseas military....

Others are having lots of bother finding people on Scotland 1911 as well Evelyn.....So we just keep at it.
But I will wait to get the reply to my email SP (and that may be tomorrow)before I check any more entries.

Mother ALWAYS insisted her name was spelt
Diane Leslie Macleod, I have always wondered if Leslie was her mothers maiden name as it is a Scottish surname

One of my christian names is Kathleen, I dont know if that is relevent

Been there with the Leslie/Lesleys Cynth....
