checked info for 1911
The latest information is that the census will be available sometime in April 2011 via the scotlandspeople website.
Payment will be by pay-per-view credits - there is no plan to introduce subscriptions. If you live in Scotland, you can obtain credits at a reduced price from your local library. There is a little publicised Scotlands People Voucher Scheme which allows public libraries to sell discounted vouchers directly to the public for non-commercial use. You have to visit the library in person.

It will also be available at the same time in the ScotlandsPeople Centre in Edinburgh. Unfortunately the current daily rate of £10 will go up to £15 in April although they do offer a one hour free taster session, first come, first served at certain times of the day.

Note also that, unlike in England and Wales, the individual household schedules for the Scottish 1911 census have been destroyed so it will not be possible to view these. Instead the enumeration books have been digitised, similar to that for the 1901 census, except that the entries for each person go across a double page. This includes the 'fertility' questions for married women, that is years married, number of children and how many were still alive.

Hello Viv, I have just got back from town, knackered and turned on the laptop, yes your scans have arrived. I agree I dont think he is our man, but thank you very much anyway.I am glad I knew my mother as I would swear she was ficticious, had I not known her.
Love

Please let me know if you got my scans of the Robert MacLeod Papers Evelyn as I am not sure they went through.
They are of no use though as they are just what he had in the bank in England and abroad, other than that Catherine McKinnon was his sister.....And he died intestate..

Email in from a nice lady called Rachel...

Thank you for your enquiry of 13 December requesting copies of the following documents:

SC25/44/30 (Inventory for Robert McLeod, recorded 10 January 1918 at Dingwall, pp.9-13)

I have checked the Calendar of Confirmations which is an annual index of testamentary papers and it appears that Robert McLeod died intestate; therefore an inventory exists for him.

Please accept our sincere apologies on the time it has taken for our response. I spoke to my colleague and it would appear that the paper work for your request had gone astray. There will be no charge for your copies. Please could you email me your home address so we can arrange for paper copies to be sent out to you.
