As I was born in 1932 its probable that I have met all the Barfoot children but have no recollection of this, I wonder how long the boys lived for or if they are still alive,my parents and brother and I went to live in Weymouth when I was I think 2 years old but to the best of my knowledge the Barfoots remained in London.

I find no deaths for Roy or Edwin,so they may still be alive or may unhappily have died after 2005 to which we do not have access too.

Fathers sister died quite young though to the best of my knowledge she married and had I think 3 children,2 boys and a girl the girl Doreen I think died young, I have no recollection of meeting any of them,I remember Dorotheys husband referred to as Bruce but believe his name to have been Edwin Barfoot, whether Barfoot married again I dont know or if the 2 sons survive I dont know.
I somehow have a feeling that one of the boys was round my age or slightly younger and maybe have been named Roy Barfoot.
You are right they may have more chance of having family photos as Herbert Robert John Roy was their uncle so Diane was their aunt by marriage
Thank you for your help

If Robert went to Canada ,and possibly before Diane married, how is he going to have had photos?

Surely if there are any photos around then your fathers siblings/children may have them?

Evelyn

Evelyn Report 9 Jan 2010 17:22

Robert Roy was the brother of Herbert Walter Roy(my grandad), the reason I am following this route is maybe some family photos exist and perhaps Diane may be on them

Silly place to go Canada, its full of Canadians and cold in winter I am told.

About when is he supposed to have gone there?I have passenger lists.

Tabitha Report 8 Jan 2010 19:46

1891 Census - could it be
Son of George (34) & Sophia (37) Brothers George (12) John (5) sisters Edith (10) Elizabeth (2) Rosetta (3 mths)

If it was him - he was still in Kensington for 1901 census with his family - there are a few others - any other info?

I don't have access to people leaving the UK only arrivals - so not a lot of help - but I will keep on looking
