Information about De Ruvigny's Roll Of Honour 1914-1918
Originally published in five volumes, Marquis De Ruvigny's Roll Of Honour features biographies of 26,768 Army, Navy and Air Force men killed in the Great War, with more than 7,000 transcripts and even photographs. At the outset of war, the idea of a comprehensive roll of all servicemen killed in the war seemed perfectly achievable – but as it dragged on, it became clear it would be impossible. But these 7,000 transcripts serve as a tribute to the men listed, and an invaluable resource for researchers.
