Hiya
Wonder if anyone can help.
I am desperately trying to find the entry for my grandparents marriage so i can order the certificate but i have searched and searched and still cannot find it. Have searched from 1912 to well after my dad was born in 1934 and he wasn't the eldest. If anyone can help i would be hugely appreciative!
The details i have are :

James Barker b?
Clara Wild b 1898
Sheffield

Hope someone can help, thanks

Sometime people went by either their middle names or a nick name. My grandad was John at birth but everyone called him Jack so one of the above could be him. ;)

Well it was definately James Barker. My grandmother used to go by Clarie but not much difference.
None of the above are my family.
The ones i have found so far are:

Barker Harry Wild mar 1922
Barker Edward Wild sep 1923
Barker Alan Sep 1934
Barker Myra Wild Dec 1935
Barker Lilian Wild Mar 1937
Barker Margaret I Wild Mar 1938
Barker Arthur Wild Dec 1940
Barker Roy Wild Mar 1945

Just can't find that marriage registry :(

Unfortunately i've had trouble finding marriage listings too, I've often wondered if people in my tree actually got legally marriage or not. It's a possibility i'm affraid.

I'll have a search myself too but I think Jane123 has found a good deal already.

I've also found a James E Barker marrying a Clarie W Innocent in 1916. Could she have been married before and her previous husband died in the war? Alot of men died in 1915 in Gallipoli so i'm wondering if James was her second husband.

Ok, scratch that, have found a Clarrie W Innocent's birth in 1990. Sorry

I think my grandmother died about 1974/75 but not exactly sure. No idea of my grandad. As far as i know she wasn't married before. She was only born in 1898.
I dont have a copy of my dads cert but that may be the next step.
No there was no Alice in the family that i'm aware of
Thanks for everyones help!
