Find Ancestors

Hi guys

My partner is trying to find her great grandfather mr G W Barrett born in Collierley Durham.

We found him in the 1901 census which shows his father as Fredrick Barrett however his mother is not showing and we beleive she died in child birth.

We cant seem to find Frederick Barrett in any other census to try and work out what his wife was called.

Can anyone help or advice?

Which search did you use was it the one on here or another one? (or am I just really slow that its taking me all night to find lol)

the GW stands for george william

As you can't find his birth Mark you will have to buy one of the other childrens birth certificates and find the marriage from the parents names.

I use Ancestry and also there is a free site www.freebmd.org.uk thats good but it only takes you upto certain years.
