I am trying to find anything about my Great grandfather John Bawden. I know he was born in Cornwall in about 1849 and he migrated to Australia, he then married Hannah Maria Hammond at South Apsley in NSW Australia on 6/6/1878. I have found 8 children John Albert George(my grandfather), Harriet, Albert, Herbert, Thomas, Hilda and Arthur all born at Bathurst NSW and William was born at Warren NSW. He died in 1925 in Dubbo NSW Australia, he did become a railway employee for NSW railways but he was on a old age pension when he died. He was a miner when he got married and his parents were William Bawden, also a miner, and Mary Ann Bartlett. Any information about John or his siblings or his parents would be appreciated. |
