Thankyou so much for so much information for me to follow up. I have my g grandmother Prudence CHALLINOR that married John COPE on another thread and just cant get back on John COPE as there are 2 possibilities for his parents. I may have to order a film from the LDS for the longton, Milwich erea and so what that brings. Thanks again Pat

Pat, you state...

" have my g grandmother Prudence CHALLINOR that married John COPE on another thread and just cant get back on John COPE as there are 2 possibilities for his parents"

Just order the marriage cert if it's after 1837, this will tell you whom the father was and his occupation...

Sorry to confuse you. I have a thread for John COPE Staffordshire and one for James Cope Staffordshire, (Johns son.)I have Jameses & his familys details. John is my gg grandfather B c1800 and he married Prudence CHALLINOR. Johns parents could have been William & Jane COPE ??? First child I can find is John COPE that came home in the 1851 census after his father John died. He was B c 1831. I thought someone maybe working on the CHALLINOR tree and try that way. Many thanks for so much to work on .Pat

always best to have just one posting - in fact GR rules state no more than one posting on the same thing - you can see why now cause we're all confused!!!
