I have hit a brick wall here- i have an alice maude ? born poplars 1874 marrying Edward Arthur from leeds born 1876. can anyone help me- I am not sure where marriage took place.Have to guess prior to 1901 cause that when my other halfs grandma was born- any help received with many thanks

Sadly I cannot find her surname- she marries arthur edwards about 1898 ( going by the records of kids) but i cannot find her surname sadly, Cant even work out where cause she london he leeds. AAm tearing hair out here. and it not even my ppl. I am scottish through and through- this is other halfs ppl. :-)

Edwars is surname and i sorry if i offend in some way cause there obviously is a code of conduct here i do not know

The only code of conduct here is to put the SURNAME of who you are looking for....

Susan, you could use freebmd.org - its free - to find one of the kids birth cert refs and buy it for £7 from GRO online - that would give her full maiden name.

Oh I see Sylvia has found a possible marriage using freebmd. If you are confident thats the couple, you can use the ref to buy the marriage cert.

I apologise i am sort of new at this- and do try to be exact- but at times brain thinks faster than fingers

ahh heather i have her daughter birth certificate and it does not tell me- I somehow think she fibbed on it- maybe it is an age thing- i think she older than she says - there is something odd anyway- as i say it is the other halfs family so if they want to be weird so be it
