Michelle - what a star you are -you certainly do push down brick walls - I still cannot believe after over 2 years of searching for these two I found my beloved Grannies younger sister

My Granny had shown on 1911 she has "lost" 4 babies - and I also
had confirmation from the church in Ludgershall for two of them - and am waiting for opcdorset to confirm one more - so today wasca very very good day - thank you so very very much
My kindest regards

Irene Palmer - I married 2 different Palmers

Irene

You are very welcome, i am so happy for you. Its a great feeling to get a brick wall down on your tree.
I am looking for Frederick but not much luck yet. I have been working through the marriages and checking the 1901 for the wives but nothing matching your Fred yet.
If i do find anything i will post, but not looking good yet. Sorry.

Rache - are both the printouts for Willis Lee for the 1911 census - or is the Naval printout diff - or has his father and his ship listed him ?

Rache - thanks so much - you never know with Michelle attempting to winkle out Frederick - I may have to ask for help again

Many thanks
Irene

Renes Report 7 Jul 2010 20:51

Rache and Michelle

I have tracked those two right back to parish records to double double check - they are not my Frederick -
as we now know Ada Jane husband was in Navy - is it possible Frederick was too - because how did a girl from a tiny Dorset village in the late 1890s meet in a man Titchfield
In 1891 they were living at West Holme , East Stoke -
All of the Turners were ag lab and just moved around 4 or 5 Dorset villages for just under 260 years ( as indeed my grandfather John Robert Palmer who married Fred and Ada sister Rose did )

Any way Well done Michelle and Rache - I am over joyed at the fnding of Ada Jane

Thank you

Irene

Irene

Yes i think that is quite possible and would explain why we are unable to find him.
Men at sea are always tricky to find. This one has stumped me, i will keep looking but have tried all my usual tricks and nothing :(

Glad we managed to find one of the two though.

Renes Report 7 Jul 2010 22:13

I will check this one out - Levi Turner ( his father ) died in mar qtr 1901 - and I have his stepmother living with her daughter and son in law - in 1901 - so maybe he got a live in job - is this a Public house then - does the census show an address and I will follow it up

We now know he was not with Ada Jane . - I know he was not with Rose or Evelyn - three of his grandparents were dead one surviving
Granny Jane Parsons borne 1820 Askerswell Dorset
In 1891 Granny Jane and sister Evelyn were living @Wynford Eagle - Maiden Newton Dorset

I had not looked to see where Jane Parsons was in 1901 - apart from that I have checked the whole family

Many thanks again Michelle

Irene

PS - I have to go to Granada tomorrow - and will not be able to log on until later Thurs night or Friday morning

Ah Ha

Right year of birth - will have a look at 1904 Emigration - does it show occupation -

It is just possible the Sussex groom man could be him - he is the only Fred Turner unaccounted for -

You have given me another ray of hope

Thanks
