I have posted before but have got no further forward
Jennie Treadgold married Charles Kingsland 28/06/1919. She was 23 and her father was Thomas Clarke Treadgold - deceased.
Coincidently, I have Thomas Clarke Tredgold born 1847 and married in 1891 to Susan Norris. But Jennie does not appear on census as his child. She does not appear in any birth, death or cencus records.
There are a number of Thomas Tredgold, Threadgold and Threadgoulds but none have a daughter Jennie.
Does anyone have any suggestions

I do have the marriage certificate and have confirmed the detals on the marraige and banns index on ancestry website.
The ThomasClarke Tredgold in 1911 census - spouse Theresa does not appear to have any daughters. Too old to have a DAUGHTER BORN C 1896.

I have tried the devire side but cannot find them in any census after their marriage. Ann Devire / Devier does appear in the 1851 and 1861 census but disappears after her marraige. I did think he may have been married twice but dates don't fit as this would have been his first marraige and Jennie appears to have been born c 1896, after his children with Susan.

I know the Treadgolds must exhist because Charlie Kingsland who married Jennie has a number of cousins - Charles c 1915, Dorothy c 1922 and Thomas c 1911 - surnme May. Their mothors name eas Treadgold but can't find a May / Treadgold wedding.
Perhaps I am just dense.

You say you have tried Jane - what did the cert say> who were her parents?

ypu are probably NOT dense, but aren't helping by not telling what you know. You mention the May cousins, MMN Tredgold - What was her name? and where.............. you seem to have no idea of location for anything

This is the only death I can find on Ancestry for a Susan Tredgold (any spelling) between 1891 and 1905.

If this is the correct Susan then she would have been too old to give birth in 1896.......unless her estimated birth year is incorrect?

you found the marraige date for my great uncle Dalby who appears to have married martha v treadgold. Been trying to trace her
Martha cannot be Jennies mother as she was born in1890 in Hackney..and is the daughter of Susan Norris / Thomas Clark Tredgold mentioned above.

However still stuck with Jennie
Have either tried before or looked at new suggstions but nothing really fits.

When Jennie married Charles, right back at the begining, who were the witnesses?

I'd still say the birth cert for Jane is worth buying, Maybe she was known as Jennie and her real name was Jane. Is your real name Maddie?...or Madeline?

its just occured to me that #Jennie might, of course, be registered in the name of her mother, if she was born either out of wedlock or before Thomas got round to marrying her mother, then used his name
