Looking for the family of one Mary Keys. She was born in London, I think, circa 1850s-60s. She married a Thomas Brown, who was a furniture removalist. They had 6 children, John, Edward, Thomas, Margaret, Anne and Mary. In 1904 Thomas Brown snr was killed when a piano he was moving fell on top of him. Mary Keys Brown then put the children into St Joseph's Orphanage in Tottenham. I believe she married again, years later and had other children. I know that her older boys, John, Edward and Thomas were in the British Army. Margaret (my grandmother) became a nanny in London and then emigrated to Australia in 1920s. Anyone who knows of this Mary Keys please get in touch! |
